I was at the Las Vegas BB tourney...both the men and women WCC teams play over the same amt of time...between Thursday and Tuesday...no games on Sunday per the BYU rule.....

what an atmosphere....5000 Zag fans from Eastern Washington and other areas descend on Las Vegas and give great support to the Zag teams..( its 1200 miles driving away from Spokane)..very good crowd for the women and your's truly sat right behind John Stockton ....

this is what womens bb needs to be....teams greatly supported by their fans, players that are admired and appreciated, well spoken coaches, and basketball played very well....

other WCC schools fans hardly showed up, except for the BYU mens game....they don't support their women that much...truely sad....


I want to add that its a great year for basketball in Spokane wa....not only did our Ladyzags win the regular season and the championship game the men also won both AND our local HS girls bb team won the state championship ( Hull sisters heading to Stanford) but the boys did too...for the entire state including all those big cities of Seattle and Tacoma, etc...pretty great accomplishment...
