Five days before Alyssa Milano’s October 15th tweet calling for women to utilize ‘me too’ in response to being sexually harassed or assaulted, On October 10th, in the comments section of the Lena Dunham NYTimes op-ed piece entitled "Harvey Weinstein and the Silence of the Men," I wrote the following, under the username, jammer.


"Here’s what really needs to happen now. Every woman who has ever been presented with a career/sex quid pro quo in the entertainment industry should come forward and simply say, “Me, too.”

Well I was commenting on an article about 'the silence of the men' in the entertainment industry on this breaking scandal that was completely focused on Hollywood. Plus, I mean, most people here probably are aware that I have all these bones up my ass about Hollywood anyway. So there's all that.

Kind of the context of my point however was that men were not going to change this situation, as they have no motivation to do so and 10K young and beautiful desperately ambitious reasons not to. So women needed to do this for themselves.

Not that I ever thought anything like it would actually happen, but specifically my 'me too' idea was to be like a roll call of all the women who had come to Hollywood to pursue a career in the industry but who had then been put off by the casting couch in all its many variations.
