Go Marquette! Although the Big East website has the Bulldogs playing the Bulldogs - now that would be interesting Smile. The Big East website leaves a lot to be desired with their conference tournament coverage - they don't even have any stats links for the games. I finally found a Big East tournament page (was looking at BE women's bball page before where it shows the Bulldogs playing the Bulldogs) and that page has the Big East logo for Marquette and no stats links there either.

Not a good start at all for Marquette - they trail Butler 22-18 after the first quarter.

Wow - I thought Marquette was going to lose this one and end up with an 8/9 in the NCAA Tourney. But they survive and advance putting together a good run in the 4th quarter to win 73-61.

As Carolyn Kieger said in the post-game, Marquette doesn't win without Amani Wilborn. A heck of a game today - 26 points on 9-11 shooting from the field including 4 of 6 from 3 point range (she's not usually a great 3 point shooter) and she added 5 assists and 6 rebounds with only 1 turnover.

Thank goodness - I would have been a hot mess if they'd lost that one Smile.

Darn! I was hoping for mass chaos today and all the top seeds to lose. Very Happy

Let DePaul lose - they're a 2 seed - close enough Smile

Can we maybe not let DePaul go on big runs as soon as we close the gap? Pretty please, Pirates?

Sorry Queenie - not a good day for St. John's or DePaul

Creighton advances to face Marquette in the semifinals for the second straight year with a 66-58 win over St. John's.

DePaul advances to the other semifinal with a 78-52 win over Seton Hall. They will face the winner of the Georgetown-Villanova game which is a close one - VU leads 38-36 with 3:34 to go in the third quarter.

Not every postseason can be 2016. Confused (Although there were certain incidents in Chicago I wouldn't want to repeat anyway.)
