well if they are so dumb as to continue fouling Canada, this game is long over.

Tough loss for the Bears. Feel like the refs had it out for us today. The fifth foul on Anigwe was tough to take. The ref actually screamed offensive foul, which it wasn't, it was presumably on the rebound because they shot foul shots. Still, the Bears played well, but they have to box out on rebounds instead of just going for the ball. That was really the difference.

Unfortunately this probably puts Cal as an 8 or 9 seed which means one good game, but no real shot at the second weekend.

Looking forward to 2 good games tonight, USC - Stanford and OSU -- ASU. I expect at least one upset..

I just hope it gives Anigwe time to heal from whatever is going on because she just looked scary woozy.

Lots of them. Off the top of my head:
Cowling's is quite ugly
S. Thomas's (FSU) is extremely ugly

both of those use the shotput technique. There are others with this technique as well. Some also heave from one shoulder with both hands but can't think of names offhand.

USC strategy of flinging your body into the defender working with these refs.

It looks like USC came up with an offensive plan while they were walking from the locker room.

Their offense is give the ball to Mazyk and see what happens.

I should be wide awake after speeping through the second half of what looks to be an 85 pt Missouri-Georgia game.

Did the SEC refs get the memo about "freedom of movement" from the NCAA last year?

well the refs keeping this one interesting. They love to call those fouls when USC runs over the defense. Don't know what the foul differential is but it must be huge.

So when Simon is hanging onto your arm, you have no right to try to free it...according to the refs.

Fun UCLA note:

In Kelli Hayes's entire frosh and soph seasons, she hit a total of 7 treys (on 34 attempts).

In just today's game against Cal, Kelli hit 6 treys (on 8 attempts).

Thank you, Kelli.

Forgive me if I don't see the FUN in that note.

Best of luck against the Ducks. I'll be rooting for Kelli to hit 6 more.

McPhee shoots with her wrist bent back so far. I don't think my wrist even bends that far.

Gotta correct myself above: Kelli went 5-7 from the arc yesterday, not 6-8.

Best of luck to your Bears in the NCAAs. Hope you get a favorable placement and make a good run!
