Liz is looking forward to playing with Sky and Glory, I'm super excited for the season now, the wings should be one of the top teams in the league, sounds like Christmas-Kelly will be back as well. |

Wings on paper look like a very exciting team to watch this season. Cambage seems happy to be in Dallas. Let's hope she's there for more than just this season.

I thought it was just my internet. Looks like the board might be experiencing a slowdown.

Yes, the site has been slow the past week or so.

Tbh even if she averaged 16 pts per game like she did 5 years ago then this would help Dallas a lot. It doesnt make them a championship contender though (their defense needs major work and i dont think this coach can fix that) but they will improve IMO. But i expect her to be better then 5 years ago tbh.
She will compete with Griner and Fowles for best center in the league

With Liz back I feel confident in saying for once the wings will have the best player on the court vs most teams this season. |

The Wings have re-signed Karima Christmas.

I think she should remain a starter next season, she’s not the defender she once was, but she can still frustrate others defensively even if it’s just by falling down all the time. Starting her over Powers would also be better for team chemistry, I’m sure Liz will expect to get most of the touches and that won’t happen with Powers holding the ball or throwing up bricks, she’s perfect for a 6th man. |

Not so sure about that:
Charles
Edd
McCoughtry.
Griner
Moore/Fowles
Stewart
Jones
Parker
I feel more confident in saying that the Wings will have 2 of the best 3 players on the court most of the time....24-27 wins and a top 4 seed is doable.

Is it unarguable as best player in the Southern Hemisphere (which is after all, half of the world)?

Well she was 2nd in WNBL MVP voting to Suzy Batkovic who won it for 6th time, so it's hard to even argue that she is the best player there...

MVP doesn't always go to the best player and Cambage hasn't played in the WNBL every season.
Let's put it this way - if you could get any player in the world that wasn't an American who would you pick? (Assume all players in the prime of their career and they will actually show up every year.) So who then is the best player in the rest of the world?

I see that Batkovic is a career 5.0/2.5 12 MPG player in the WNBA. Do you think she is better than Cambage?

You've proven his point. It's arguable. Not everyone agrees.

She’s definitely the most franchise-changing addition to the club they could make right now. With Cambage, it makes sense to make her feel good about herself and the club. It’s not unusual for GM’s to be superlative about their new signings. Look how effusive Laimbeer gets about every signing or even his training camp invites are the best training camp invites ever.
