Seems like Staley doesn't want to expose them to a loss, but it should cost them a 2 seed unless they at least make the finals of the SEC, if not win. I think they will still get the 2 seed, Georgia 3, Missouri 4 in a 3 way tie.

I find it a strange coincidence that Wilson is missing both games vs Tennessee.
Is Dawn contriving an excuse for two losses she expected to suffer against the big dog in the conference?

The first game was a real injury, but this seems like it could be gamesmanship. They get the two seed anyway (I think), Staley tells the NCAA committee to ignore these two losses because Wilson was out. It will be interesting to see why she says she is missing the game.

It's Senior Day and Russell still needs a kick in the ***.

SC 20-12 at 5:15 in 2Q. Not exactly a stellar performance by either team. Tenn is shooting 18% with 10 TO's.

Some people might surmise:

Staley hoping to get out of the Connecticut bracket by not playing Wilson. However, if SC wins anyways so be it.

Also, why play Wilson as there is nothing to gain at this point and maybe get Wilson hurt.

Staley hoping again that someone upsets Connecticut and Mississippi State on way to Final Four and sliding into a National Championship game, like last year.

Staley's no dummy, she might just be playing her hand...

IDK just saying that is some might think...

Don't forget the SEC tournament still lies ahead. Staley can't pull Wilson from that unless she's actually hurt/sick or she'd get a lot of backlash.

I'll say it here and now. I'll be glad when Russell is gone. Tenn plays a lot better when they can be aggressive, force stops, steal the ball, run, and play a transition game. The next recruiting class is likely to be the same. Russell is too slow, too passive, can't play transition defense, doesn't have the hands to rebound or catch passes, and requires a half-court set in the offense to start her post moves. She is just a handicap to this team. Green is going to fit in a lot better, and so will KK when she gets more experience under her belt.

Warlick:

Staley's trying to hand you the game. You can't muster more than 21 points in a half?

Come on Fullmer, do your job! Get her the hell out of there. Tennessee deserves better!

Those fans better be careful. Staley's waiting to file another lawsuit if they get too rowdy.

SC figured out Tenn's press at half-time, but Tenn figured out their offense. Now 31-26 Tenn.

Holly at half-time:

Jackson and Davis are just freakishly athletic.

And SC get a 5-on-3 opportunity and throws the ball away.

It is frequently due to an inner ear problem without prior head injury.

56-40 at 5:11 in 4Q.

65-46 final. Tenn had 47 RB's (21 off.), and forced 21 TO's.
