The game was sufficiently viewed for us to get additional demographic information. These are all expressed as percentage of those groups watching on average:
18-49: .30
F18-49: .21
M18-49: .39
18-34: .29
F12-34: .17
M12-34: .34
25-54: .32
50+: .39

On TV, as far as we can tell, about twice as many men as women watched the game.

In WNBA arenas, I don't think the fans are 2/3 men (or at least they weren't when I was going to Monarchs' games back in the dark ages).

Insofar as that's true, the marketing dilemma of the league is clear -- there are different audiences for TV than for ticketbuyers, and thus one size will not fit all.

The celebrity game averaged 1,689,000 viewers. That not only beat all the WNBA games, it also beat the Rising Stars Game, which involved actual NBA players who were actually trying a bit.

To be fair, that might be in part because the celeb game was so freaking unwatchable everyone had turned their TVs off and found something else to do by the time the Rising Stars game started.

Here at least the games are on different channels. Interestingly, the rising stars game had a slightly better female/male ratio at the younger demos.
