Breakdown of back-to-backs and home games by day of the week

Yes, the Sparks and Lib have most of their home games not on weekends.

Shame about the Sky, they were my favorite team to watch last year.

I'm sure they'll be on NBATV and/or Twitter

Every team's "extra" game is in conference (Atl/Ind, Chi/Was, Con/NY, Dall/Phx, LA/Min, LV/Sea). So they still haven't completely abandoned the conference concept.

I do remember a number of the Sky’s midweek day games last year were on Twitter. Maybe they’ll do it again this year. Those would be easy to watch in the Czech Republic considering the time difference.

The league added more games to thr ESPN2 schedule later on. Hoping that's the same and we still get 20 games via Twitter.

I watch the majority of the games using League Pass so I like not having too many games on ESPN. No blackouts.

I don't EPSN games and League Pass blackouts either. Also - EPSN is creating a new app for streaming and the idea seems to be a pay per view type of thing. I like the Twitter broadcasts and always used them when available. I hope there are more.

There are 21 back-to-backs. We could reduce it down to three just by rearranging the visiting teams a bit. However, there are three spots where they've scheduled seven games in two days, making it impossible to avoid b2bs: May 19-20, June 26-27, and August 18-19.

Someone should have took her phone but if the league didnt have the Sparks get their rings with Minny playing them on opening night why not give the same respect to LA?

Lynx fans wouldn't like it either lets be honest if it happened last season.Which why they should be last people to say anything about her tweets. Esp considering how some are still crying about 2016 game 5 & refs. I better not hear LA/CP being the wnba fav ever again cause they wouldn't do this if they felt that way.

If it is not too much work - can you tell which teams are home teams playing an opponent on the second night of a back to back?

They should make it up to her by officially presenting the uniforms to the national team members before the Sparks' 2nd home game.
Oh wait ...

Thu, 06/28/2018 10:00 PM-12:00 AM Los Angeles Sparks at Seattle Storm

The Sparks against Los Lynx . . . so soon? Isn't there supposed to be some kind of dramatic buildup, overblown hyping, wild & crazy advertisements, helicopters dragging streaming signs against the backdrop of rockets red glare, etc. all designed to maximize the hell out of ticket sales before the actual game? Where is that Land of LaLa Hollywood touch when you need it?

Oh, come on, Candace!!! You just have to be in mid-season form in May. Plus, you get a golden opportunity the wipe that championship grin off Los Lynx' collective faces and send a message right away! Talk about declaring, "We got next!!!"

Not only do other leagues do this all the time, but the WNBA has done it on four previous occasions.

In 1998 the Liberty watched the first ever ring ceremony in Houston after losing in the 1997 final.

In 2000 the Lib again got to see the Comets get their rings after losing in the 1999 finals.

In 2004 the Sparks watched the Shock get their rings after losing in the 2003 finals. This is one of the few ring ceremony games won by the visitors.

In 2007 the Monarchs got to see the Shock get their rings after losing in the 2006 finals.

BTW - Indiana is the Dream's 4 game opponent. I guess they wanted to schedule two lottery teams against each other 4 times.

So which team is your favorite team's 4 game opponent?

pilight listed them for you earlier in this thread:

My grasp of US geography isn't fantastic, but it basically seems like the closest possible team, plus ESPN wanting an extra LA-Minnesota game.

Thanks. I either missed or forgot that. I can't think of a team I would rather have as my four game opponent than Indiana this year.

ATL/WAS & CHI/IND would be closer geographic matchups. Should we talk to Borders? Very Happy

I'm happy the way it is. But chances are, Indy will probably beat us at least twice just for me saying that.

New York and Connecticut just played each other four times last season. I'm surprised they're doing it again. I would have expected a rotation through all teams or at least the teams in your division.

NYL & CON are close geographically and seeding wise. Seems ideal. Might become a yearly thing if they stay there.
