Signing Bone & keeping Lavender doesn't make sense. One or the other.

Lavender is a 4. Bone brings toughness and a more block presence.

The Sparks signed her in Feb along with most of the rest of the team. If it was only a one year deal, she must have been contemplating retirement.

I guess the Sparks don't need instant offense.

I believe PHX still owns her rights (but who knows). If they do, what do you trade, instant offense?

Getting greedy now.

I'm sure Stocks has given Agler the scoop on her.

You slipped her onto the training camp roster without it being one of your first steps. Are you bringing her in? Most people have moved on from her but you and zune are the holdouts.

Jenna O'Hea is back into the graces of the Opals and is trying to get a spot for next year. Part of it is because they finally have a coach that understands that its good for aussies to play in the WNBA and doesnt shut them out for it.
So if the other aussies are coming over then i would see that happening for her aswell and i think the Sparks could really use her.
She is friends with Parker and Agler is already familiar with her so there is certainly a chance

It looks like a position that the Sparks needed filled, so it would be hard to call it a negative. Question should be is it a negative for Atlanta, who lost her.

It's a great hire for the Sparks. Natalie was a huge asset to the Dream.

Early in free agency

Gray/RWilliams
Sims/Dabovic
Beard(unsigned)/Carson/Wiese
NOgwumike/Lavender/#11
Parker/Tolo(unsigned)

Other possibilities
Samuelson
Dubljevic(unsigned)
Tiffany Jackson-Jones(unsigned)
Sandrine Gruda(unsigned)

Between Sims and Gray, a “true PG” backup isn’t really needed. Other guards can do light minutes in those odd times when both Gray and Sims are both on the bench.

Samuelson not likely to make it unless she beats out Wiese or guards are dealt.

Dabovic was signed to be on the roster.

Beard likely to be signed (although what is the holdup?)

No word on Tolo. Urban legend or a real possibility?

Seems likely #11 will be a post (unless guards are dealt) or the pick traded.

#11 perfect for Vadeeva?

Max: Parker, Ogwumike, Beard, Sims
Expensive: Lavender, Carson, RWilliams
Cheap: Gray, Dabovic, Wiese, Tolo(?), #11

In honor of her re-signing, Beard's highlights are a thing of beauty: https://twitter.com/WNBA/status/961006771098783744

Again!?! I can see Candace pounding the hardwood once more in sheer frustration. I love players who do all the dirty work inside, and Marianna is quite a scrapper. I hope she gets herself together again. Marianna probably doesn't deserve this title, but we need a Big Bad Syl stopper.
