Pondexter ( Wants LA , but might end up in Vegas) - LA doesn't need her with Beard & Dabovic returning. I can see Vegas though.
S. Johnson (Phx Or Seattle)
C. Little (Minnesota Or Indiana )
Vaughn (NY or PHX or Seattle) - Seattle needs a post with Swords gone, but I see NY bringing everyone back from 2017.
Latta (Retire!) - nah. Seattle & Minnesota could use a back-up PG.
Howard (NY or Chicago) - she'll be given some to dollar, IMO. Whoever needs a t back-up PF.

This was one of those things I "heard" during the offseason. Wouldn't be surprised to see Reeve sign Latta.

Pilight, I posted that a couple of days ago in the Minnesota thread, but I guess it works here too.

Yeah, I basically agree that with the situation in NY I doubt anyone is rushing to sign with us.

I will be interested to see if Vaughn signs elsewhere, or if Hartley signs a contract somewhere else, if she does and NY doesn't do anything is when I will really start to worry.

With that said players still out there I would love to have in NY

S. Johnson
L. Kizer
N. Howard

A player I've always liked who I think could help NY a little but others will say no to

I. Latta

The thing is, the Lynx usually want their veteran pickups to at least make a vague nod towards playing defense. So Latta may not be a great fit. Tanisha Wright, if she fancied a few months of ring-chasing, might work. But admittedly the list of available veteran options is starting to look pretty thin, especially on the perimeter.

This is the exact list I want for Minnesota. Not sure if we can get them for the same price as Pierson, Perkins, and Montgomery. Probably close though.

I had a feeling Currie was going back to Washington. Shenise Johnson wouldn't be a bad pickup for Minny.

I could see all of them being interested in Minny. Obviously Howard is there if they want to pay her. It might be a little harder if they signed both TJJ and C. Little, maybe they would try a sign and trade with Howard for a younger player or pick. I don't think Howard to Chicago for #4 would be that far fetched. Chicago needs a PF and I don' see one in the lottery besides Wilson unless they really want to reach for Billings. Minny could grab one of Deshields or G. Williams at #4 either would be a pretty good fit, or could even mix it up and take L. Brown.

S. Johnson could go to Minny, she is at that point where a smaller role and greater team success might be something she would like. I could also see her in PX or Seattle for some reason. NY seems like a stretch.

Kizer is the only one of the three I could realistically see coming to NY. NY has minutes at the 4 and the 5. Kizer offense would be a nice complement to Stokes defense. At this point in their careers Kizer is probably an upgrade over Vaughn, but I'm not sure we have room for both, so if Vaughn is back in NY I don't see Kizer coming here.

I’m confused why people think they don’t want to pay her. I already made a thorough post about this.

With Howard:
*The Lynx know what they’re getting
*They’ve already said they want her back
*They’ve cleared up plenty of cap space to sign her

Hopefully they’re just going through that waiting period, or maybe like Maya, Howard is having a hard time finding a printer.

If the Lynx sign Kizer and Howard, those two wouldn’t be needed.

This doesn’t sound like the Lynx. MIN really needs a young vet backup PF/SF over a rookie.

DeShields doesn’t fit Minnesota’s no nutcase policy. Gabby would be nice but she’d be a project guard. Jones and Brown are similar players. MIN is trying to win another championship. They’re not in rebuild mode.

Renee Montgomery couldnt (or wouldnt) guard a chair before she came to the Lynx. So maybe Reeve can get some more effort out of Latta.

If the Storm want a short term solution for the PG position then i could see them going after Latta but i rather see them going after Clarendon

Latta's such a tiny little thing though that I think there are some physical limitations that aren't going away regardless of system or coach. It's certainly not impossible, but she doesn't feel like a Lynxy type of player to me. Given her relationship with Thibault and the Mystics I kinda expect her to end up back there if she plays at all, albeit maybe in a reduced role and for a lot less cash than previous contracts.

I stil feel like Seattle's backup guard might well be the #5 pick (Canada, Brown, whoever), finally spending high on Bird's successor rather than trying to find someone among the dregs later on.
