Oregon is just fun to watch. They play beautiful team ball.

Coach leaves Anigwe in so she can get her third foul with 7 seconds to go in the half. Anigwe is so aggressive she could easily have gotten it long before that.

The sad thing about Anigwe is that I don't think she has progressed since her Freshman year. She was really good already there...and that to me bespeaks of coaching, or lack thereof.

I have to agree. I have been a big supporter of Lindsay Gottlieb, but this has been the third frustrating year where the offense seems to stagnate. Anigwe can overpower smaller teams, nut there seems to be no flow to the offense against teams with quality interior defense. Thomas, Smith and Cowling all have talent but none seem to control the offense. I watched Bre Cavanaugh for Fordham a few days ago and wonder if she might have made a difference if she had stayed at Cal, but I doubt that Gottlieb would have given her the free reign to create.

Cal was certainly limited by the injury to M'Cole Cayton early this season which forced Keanna Smith into a starting role and limited the substitution patterns, but Gottlieb needs to breathe life into the offense or they are going to waste the most talented player in Cal history.
