Have at it! Post your random interesting results and drive-by observations for the week.

Of course, if you want to have more in-depth discussion of a game, feel free to start a thread for it.

Duquesne led G Washington 51-39 with 5 minutes to go. GW held Duquesne without a FG the rest of the way, tied it at 53, but after the Dukes hit 1 of 2 FTs with 3.4 seconds to go the Colonials could not hit a winning bucket.

Duquesne 54-53 Final.

The Mercer Bears completed an undefeated five game road trip with a 73-59 win over Samford.

I've been very impressed with the Bears. While the ratings jump around, when I checked yesterday they were one of only 38 teams with more total wins than games against teams outside of the top 50 in the RPI. That is always a very impressive stat.

Meanwhile in New Rochelle, the hits just keep on coming, as the Gaels go down to Monmouth 62-56. We're starting to run out of teams we might be able to beat. But somehow, God help me, I'm going to the game at Manhattan.

Even though the Gaels didn't get off the schneid, the Detroit Mercy Titans did. I wrote the game up on the Winless thread in the General Discussion board.

Luckily SDSU was able to get ahead and hold on for the victory.

Some big games coming up for the Rabbits against WIU and USD. Luckily they are at home. Hopefully we can grab them and get a lead in the Summit League Standings.

Oral Roberts is a good team. They are going to be dangerous in the SLT.

So do Villanova fans deliberately sit across from the home bench when they're on the road everywhere, or is just a thing they do at St. John's? Because OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY WHY. Yes, go sit as close to our band as possible. Your bench is the one with your coach on it. Y'all should recognize him- he's been there for approximately forfuckingever.

(Some of them are taking the hint that perhaps two hours in front of the loudest person in the room is not a fun way to spend two hours. Some... are not.)

It's 29-25 St. John's at the half. Villanova has entirely too many fans here and I object on general principles.

My other active teams today are both leading late in the fourth quarter, Seton Hall up on Georgetown and Fordham up at VCU.

Also, shout-out to this CYO game at half which is surprisingly good.

I am breathing a huge sigh of relief as Erika Davenport is warming up and in the starting lineup for Marquette.

Maybe you should just go down to Philly February 9 and teach them a lesson. I believe it is a morning game so there should be lots of screaming kids.

Penn St. 69, Wisconsin 62. The Badgers just aren't fun anymore to watch or hear about. Sad

Florida State is chopping Virginia Tech into tiny pieces, and my alma mater, Wisconsin, was hanging tough with Penn State but just couldn’t get it done. Both teams (UW and PSU) have a good player or two but are otherwise awful.

And with 1:43 left in the 4th, Dayton is whomping St. Louis 94-77.

Marquette is up 62-38 with 5:10 to go. This has been a fun game so far 😀. Davenport needs 6 more points to become the third MU junior with 1,000 points.

All the NOPE NOPE NOPE in the world. (Besides, my one Philly trip this year, if the money works, is for the Ivy tournament, blasphemy though such a thing is- it overlaps the CAA tourney as well.)

Chennedy Carter banks in a three for Texas A&M to tie the game with 12.8 seconds to go. Georgia one last chance to win in regulation.

Georgia wins at Texas A&M

Georgia deserves to be ranked. They have only 2 losses, to Texas and Mississippi St., yet they have fewer votes in the coaches poll than either Virginia or Georgia Tech, both teams they beat.

Was this expected from Georgia this year?
