How does a team miss 18 straight shots late in a game and stay close enough to force OT?

Debbie would approve- Shooters gotta just keep shooting til their arms fall off. And gad, Carter does that. The quote of the day though was when they said that Carter told them "I don't look at the matchups, I just play the game" or something close to that. Carter is a stellar player, but she has a lot to learn and it's not clear she will be willing to learn it.

This ain't high school anymore Chennedy. Perhaps you should lend your ear to coach Blair. It might not seem that way, but he knows more about basketball than you do.

This was survival of the inept-est.

Kennedy "Assassination" Carter may have killed killed Garyball.

really not much. This was by far the best game I've seen her play.

She played really well last game too, but yeah, she's not much more than a big body to me at this point. I need to see her keep this up throughout SEC play.

If Westbrook hadn't fouled on the 3 pt shot and it had missed (and considering how TAMU had been shooting not an unreasonable idea), Tenn would be looking to beating S Car on Sunday and maybe moving into the top 4 and a viable 1 seed candidate. Instead they are facing a loss in Columbia and a drop out of the top 10. Odd how one tiny touch on the arm can alter perceptions.

I'd guess that the Vols flew back to Knoxville Thur night and fly out to Columbia on Sat. Not a lot of time to recover and get ready, especially for the freshmen.
Their next 3 games would be a brutal test for a veteran team. While they play S Car. N Dame will feast on BC at home. And Miss St will play Ala at home and have a week to get ready for their trip to Knoxville.
