The drama is who will make the most threes in this game -- Laksa, Jespersen, Samuelson, Nurse or Dangerfield. I'll take Espinoza-Hunter plus 4.

USF is Connecticut's second longest conference rival. Who's first?

wish we could bottle that performance and pour it out when necessary.

especially Collier! Yes, please.

Still don't see the love for Walker, but reminding self that Dangerfield made a huge jump between Frosh and Soph years.

With a lineup full of serial killers, UConn's Jack the Ripper offense butchers the Bulls. Nurse holds Laksa scoreless.

Name two college players who take one-handed set shots from 21 feet. Answer: Bill Sharman in 1947 and Azurá Stevens in 2017. Which one was good at it and which one should stop it? Answer: The one who is 5" taller than the other.

AEH+4 ties for the three-point win but she wasn't in the game. Why not?

Walker got lost this game by looking for her own instead of playing team ball. Uconn scored more inside as USF has no height which makes me wonder why this fodder gave Notre Dame a game, sorry couldn’t resist. A little nitpick is both Z and Collier need to learn to feed the cutters, they are slow to react with the ball. Bent with 2 threes.

Good point on Nurse Glenn, gave Laska a goose egg.

Who was face guarding Laksa? Nurse? Geno's one of few coaches smart enough to make a team's key player ineffective.

Laksa 0-11, 0-8 3P, 0-0 FT (probably not all that unusual for her)
0 reb, 0 ast, 0 to (at least that's a good thing), 0 stl, 1 blk all in 25 min

Phessie is back. Geno had told both Katie and Phessie that from the beginningi it would be more difficult this year.. They all have apparently adjusted by now. Hope it continues through April. If so, Katie bar the door!

I actually thought Jose was a better coach, Uconn shot about 6/ 20 from 3 in the last 2 games most of the makes were from KLS, as soon as she had to leave with fouls I thought he would pack in the paint. He never did and gave up lay ups, that was a dumb move on his part.

Add B. McPhee in 2018 to that list.

Yes, McPhee has a girly push shot and shoots poorly from the arc, 7-29 for 24%. But Stevens is abysmal, 5-30 for 16.7%. This is in contrast to her shooting 69% on two-point shots, which includes some medium range jumpers.

I probably should just start a thread on Stevens, but she more and more impresses me as a great basketball talent who has had poor coaching throughout her life. She has absolutely no low post moves or footwork I've seen. No drop step, no up and under, no counter steps, no full hook shot, no jump hook. All she has is a simple putback and turn around jumper. Yet, she's very effective with this paltry skill arsenal because she has natural basketball athleticism. Had Stevens had the low post training of Stefanie Dolson or Breanna Stewart as a youngster, and also training on proper jump shot technique, she'd be all world.

Actually it's good news that she needs to develop better low post moves since it makes it more likely she will stay another year in Storrs.

so long as she realizes there is more to learn. (?) I agree that she could be waaay better than she is. But with height and athleticism she's probably never been pushed...before Geno that is. I hope she does stay another year anyway...even though it makes UConn that much tougher.

Actually UCONN took 30 threes making 43% of them garnering 39 points from beyond the arc. The Huskies passed the ball to perfection to beat the defender inside. Just too much quickness and successful perimeter shooting for any team to defend.

Did you read what I said - last 2 games before USF

Mem 6/22 on 3
ECU 6/20 on 3 minus’s KLS when she was on the bench it would be 8/33 24%
Any coach should be looking for anything to help them slow Uconn and a good coach would look at tendencies!

I don't think a good coach would assume that an opponent ranked 5th in country in 3pt% has suddenly become vulnerable due to 2 less than average games.

I just think UConn has gotten into the heads of the USF players. UConn's rout was due in large part to poor shooting by USF.

UConn gets into every team's heads! For most teams it's like they're 8th graders playing against HS varsity.

USF is a slow white team this year. We can guard them.

They were screwed from the opening tip.
