Old Gabby is back. I think those migraines were probably worse than anyone thought.

UCONN's misses way too many FT's.
ECU is Rutgers ultra-lite. Every time we play this team, it's so physical, chippy, and choppy.

Too many FTs missed, D is lacking, the O stagnates too much....for a team with a solid year under its belt, w/ a major player and a potent reserve added, I must say I'm a bit surprised.

The O and D is dependent on the line up, as Geno said with KLS and Gabby on the bench, the level drops. Z rebounds but she, Napheesa and Walker are not as good defensively.

Still waiting for Walker to show she can shoot. She's Gabby's replacement next year but is much lesser. Am I being too hard on her as a Frosh? Maybe she makes a big step up next year.

She won't be playing in the post. I consider Stevens as Gabby's replacement. Walker should be Nurse's replacement.

The problem is they have yet to put together a full 40 minutes of consistent UCONN ball. The second half today is what is expected especially with the infusion of Stevens and Walker. Walker in the second half was a different player, shot five of six and played a solid defense. EU scores just 14 points in the second half. Even the bench played a good, cohesive defense in the second half.

I like the way KLS is now moving her feet on defense and drawing charges without flopping.
When I watch an entire game and can't recall the name of even one player on the opposition team, I have to question whether my memory is fading even faster than usual or whether the announcers really haven't been doing their job in anything other than a repetitive orgy of homeristic pornography. |
