OMG. Tenn just worked the ball perfectly against the KY zone to score a bunny.

Miracle.

Man, this 3rd quarter was kinda ugly.

And Kentucky is not very good at all. Didn't realize they had fallen off so much.

So many missed layups for Kentucky.

I know people love Pam Ward and Gail G, but I'm watching this game and not only is the action on the TV bad, but those 2 are putting me into a coma.

Idk why anyone but Morris takes 3s for Kentucky. They need to start giving her the ball more.

Yes! At this point, I don’t think anyone should be taking layups.

This could be the best team since the 2007&8 Utrain, and the best freshman class since the Sixpack. More conference play will say.

Well, after games vs Vandy & Auburn, that next 4 game stretch at #22 Texas A&M, at #4 South Carolina, at #2 Notre Dame and then home vs #5 Miss State will certainly tell us quite a bit.

Another ugly win. I don't think those 10 days since the last game were beneficial. Survive and advance in the SEC.

Nared looked like Swin Cash the last game. This game more like Johnny Cash.
Kentucky? A long season ahead... Sad

Didn't see the game, just heard Andy Lander's comments. Said Holly won't be happy, that they were really good for one quarter and really not good for three quarters.

But hey, they won.

Andy was concisely spot-on there.

Like a lot of teams, they're as good as they have to be. That's the way it works.

Yeah i noticed it too. Although we all wish they dominate the entire game they get the job done. Showing long spurts of improvement.

It's nice to see Vol fans happy and confident instead of wearing sackcloth and ashes.

And while a team doesn't have to be very good to beat Kentucky Russell, Nared & Westbrook played 32, 34 & 35 minutes and scored all but 19 of Tenn's points.

I'd say that the Vols played near as good as they are able.

They won. In the end that's all that matters.

But the last three quarters scored 10, 13, 14 and were outscored by 5 over those thirty minutes. I'd say the "long spurts" were more of futility than improvement. And let's face it. UK is not a good team and has lost six straight.

So be happy with the win, but don't try to dress this up into something it's not.

They played 85% as good as they are able in the first qtr and played like **** after that. Getting out to a big lead and having a mediocre-at-best opponent got them the win. Unfortunately, they play Auburn and Vandy next, which will give them a opportunity to solidify bad habits before moving on to playing TAMU, ND, SoCar, and Miss St in a 10-day stretch. Other than the W itself, I see very little good in yesterday's game. This is not where this team needs to be right now.

I'd say it is as good as could be reasonably hoped. If they can split with S Carolina and go 1-1 against Miss St & N Dame they will have a case for a one seed and certainly a lock for a 2. That will almost guarantee a return to the S16.
