Now I wonder if Hamby can just sign with a team in another league and forget about Italy? |
After watching the video that was posted. I think she should if another team would take her. You suspend an player for three months ( which is basically the rest of the season)for attempting to retaliate against a player who purposely elbowed Hamby and then falls on her own hitting her head causing her own injury. I can see if Hamby made contact and punched the player but she did not. I'm sure her agent can get her out of that contract so she can go play for another team. I don't think the change will happen until after Christmas when teams are looking to make changes.

It depends on who and how it was imposed, but the ban might well be upheld by FIBA across all their leagues (which is basically all of them apart from the WNBA). So it might not be as simple as just jumping ship to evade the ban. |

And the huge irony in all this that Hamby is the player that Taurasi clocked in the back of the neck (and should have gotten a longer suspension). Is Taurasi's bad behavior rubbing off on Hamby? |
kinda like 'tag, you're it'?

If Hamby connected at all it was a glancing blow, and the fall doesn't seem right.
The taunting was lame.

At MGM Properties, No Betting On WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces

According to Vegas writer Marc Meltzer, MGM sportsbooks will not list Aces games at any of their Nevada properties. MGM Resorts International is the owner of the franchise, and the revelation is no surprise.
Here is the official statement that Meltz quoted:
MGM Resorts Race & Sports Books will offer wagering on all WNBA games with the exception of the Las Vegas team. |

Hamby's suspension has been reduced to 4 games after her team won their appeal.

Is there any way we can copy and paste a video. Has anyone else seen the video where Izzy Harrison attacked Natalie Achonwa in Korea? I don't know how to attach it here. Haven't heard if she will be suspended or how long?

Easiest to probably just link us to the webpage where you saw it. Or if it's a YouTube video, for example, you can click the little YouTube logo at the bottom to follow it to where the video is actually hosted and link/embed that. |

Here you go. Action starts at 1:46. Achonwa was using her hands to push and grab and Harrison snapped. The Korean League has loosened up on foul calls to try and get their players ready for FIBA rules but it seems to have resulted in the foreign players getting very few calls in their favor. Frankly, after watching it a few times I wanted to kick Achonwa's butt myself. Displacing a player like that could cause injury. And when Harrison finally shoved back, Achonwa immediately wrapped her arm around Harrison's neck.

I think the refs were also fined for letting the action get out of control before then.

Eh, they probably should've tossed both of them. Achonwa starts it, Harrison eventually has enough, and it only really ends up looking worse by Harrison because she's the one who ends up on top when they hit the deck.
Might add some spice to Aces-Fever games next season, assuming they're still with those teams. |

Yeah, to me it is at least both of them should have gotten fined. I even think it is Achonwa who was more aggressive. She started it and on the floor she even acted more dangerously...I see why Izzy snapped.

Achonwa seems to be a master at aggravating opposing players enough to get them to snap.

She's the spiritual successor to Penny Taylor

It's called working too hard (from the opposing player's standpoint) and taking advantage of what the refs were allowing. Harrison needed to keep a cool head and she couldn't.

According to foreign currency exchange converters, 2 million South Korean Won equals $1,851.39 U.S. Dollars.
