I'm wondering if she had awake up call and is ok with coming off the bench for a non-title contender? San Antonio? Seattle? Would Minnesota take her to replace Pierson?

New York and Seattle could certainly use her. Dallas could bring her in as insurance. We saw in 2015, she can be a solid player.

She's just what LA needs next season. A physical backup center, move Charmin soft Lavender to the backup 4. Laughing I'm sure Bone would prefer to start I guess. Indiana? Washington? Seattle?

I'd be more than willing to give her another chance in Phoenix.

They still own her restricted rights, so it remains the most likely destination.

Upgrade over Cannon and George for sure

but would Phoenix match a max? I'm guessing some other team will throw one at her.

But then, I guessed the same thing last offseason. We still don't know whether she had offers and if so what level they were at, because who knows how 'voluntary' her year off was. Maybe not getting the money she expected led to the skiped year, or maybe she just felt like she needed the time off and any offers were redundant.

I would think that a 5 with decent size who can score would draw high offers, even if she can't defend and has some character question marks, but who knows. Phoenix still have a bunch of cap space, although Bonner returning could cut into that. And Brondello never seemed comfortable with the idea of Bone and Griner playing together, which would basically make Bone an expensive insurance policy. A sign-and-trade might be the best idea for everyone.

Janel McCarville seems to be healthy again. I notice she had a great game recently in the Swedish league. 27 pts, 9 reb, 8 ast in 25 min (off the bench if I'm interpreting the boxscore correctly).

I wonder if the Lynx would consider going down that road again. She'd probably have to pass an extensive Mayo physical exam to help determine long term feasibility, because the Lynx bet on her in 2016. Although she was decent during the regular season, her body broke down during the playoffs when the Lynx really needed her. Back issues can be chronic. Liston called it quits after only two years because of chronic back issues.

As big of a fan I am of Janel, I think her Lynx playing days are over unfortunately. Lynx need to get younger.

This should definitely be a priority for Minnesota. Sign a young post (Bone?). McCarville would likely be a one year filler.

Unless they get a great young player, they don't necessarily have to get younger in this championship window. They didn't get younger with Pierson, and that worked out well. My main issue with her is can she stay healthy.

I'd rather have Langhorne. Is that young enough?

Just say no to Little, Lynx, if she's an option. In her case I'd rather get younger. Wink

I definitely don't see that happening. The Lynx are into good chemistry players.
Have you forgotten her recent history?

So you wouldn't think the Lynx should got after Lyttle (UFA) either, I hope.

Probably not, but if the players want her, I'd be good with it. When a new vet is considered, they seem to need the starters' okay. That's a smart way to do it.

Nobody needed to throw any dirt. She did a mighty fine job all on her own.

FYI: posting a direct quote does not constitute "throwing dirt."

Are we referring to Sancho Lyttle or Camille? If Sancho then i would offer up my wings but her injury history scares me away. Sancho would be PERFECT!

I was talking about the current (no longer young) Sancho. She is a UFA and NC intimated in the DNS podcast recently they are not sure whether Sancho will want to come back to the Dream next season. If she went to the Lynx I assume it would be as a backup, like Pierson last year. My guess (based on nothing) is she would go to whatever team offers her the most money and longest deal. But who knows, players her age sometimes go ring shopping and the Lynx have been picking up some of those types.

She has a history with Fred, so Dallas is possible. Getting young Sancho probably is not.

In spite of the perception that people had of her, I think she did a good job in PHX. She was the tough and physical presence they needed off the bench.

Little had 8 games in double digit scoring during the regular season, and only one game in double digit rebounds. No double-doubles.

In the playoffs she had one game in double digit scoring and one game double digit rebounding. No double-double.

And that's with Griner missing a bunch of games.
