ND heads to the Palestra - the Cathedral of College Basketball, now in it's 90th year.

I didn't previously know that "Coach Muffet McGraw is commemorated in the concourse of the The Palestra as a 1990 inductee of the Big 5 Hall of Fame from her playing career at St. Joseph's."

I think Penn's coach Mike Mclaughlin is definitely one to watch. In nine years, he took them from the bottom to the top and has improved their numbers in virtually every season. He might be one of those diamond in the rough coaches who gets snatched away by a lucky school. He's never mentioned as a potential coach like Courtney Banghart but his program has passed hers.

Notre Dame wins 66-54.

What a slopfest. I think ND was thinking more about exams than playing basketball. They shot 50%, had 20 assists, and dominated the boards and pts in the paint, but had 22 turnovers. Penn only had 14.

Notre Dame led by ten at the end of one quarter, and maintained a small lead throughout, but made too many mistakes to put Penn away. I think the largest lead was 19.
