Louisville has picked up their defensive pressure on denials and switches causing the Jacks to make turnovers. They have also started to knock down some shots.

24-19 SDSU with 5:22 left in the half

SDSU able to withstand the Louisville run in the second quarter and get through with Macy playing and making some questionable decisions.

Tagyn Larson hit a big 3 to push the lead to 31-23 SDSU at half.

Durr hasn’t looked that great today. Louisville bigs also picking up fouls that has to have Jeff angry.

Why is South Dakota allowed to have a great women's basketball team and not Minnesota? 😭

SDSU has it to 5 with a minute left in the quarter then committed a couple of turnovers and Louisville knocked down their shots.

46-46 at the end of 3

Maybe because their coach knows how to play defense? 😉

Some interesting foul/no foul calls for both teams.

Selland fouls out for the Jacks. Easily the best player for them today.

64-59 Louisville just under 3.

Evans hits a tough contested shot from the middle of the lane and then Alexander turns it over on the Jacks end.

Louisville is going to hold on for a win

68-64 Louisville with .5 left. SDSU Ball.

Too bad Miller had a bad shooting game. Woukd have been a jacks win if she could have actually make a basket. Jacks should be ranked IMO after an impressive showing against the #4 team in the country.

It was really rough watching her tonight. Tried too many times to get the contact and call and didn’t seem to focus on the shooting part. Especially layups.

She couldn’t buy a bucket. She’s been playing so well this year so maybe just an off game on her part. Hopefully jacks can bounce back and beat Oklahoma on tuesday. Also, what was with Guebert and her taking super deep three pointers for no reason? They could have gotten better shots.

AJ is a great coach for building, defense, practice, etc. The one area that has separated him from Division 1 consistent top 15 level and settling for good mid-major is his in game coaching. Going all the way back to the 2009 Baylor game, the player got a nearly wide open layup down the lane. Two years ago Lili Thompson got a wide open path to the basket for an and 1..then he countered with trying to get Macy to drive on three players, all of whom were taller than her. Even back to the game where they played Oklahoma, I believe in 2010, instead of trying to get shots up, he had his players run their offense and waste a whole shot clock. He gets them to that point no doubt..but sometimes it seems like when the chips are on the line, there's more to be desired. But hey, even WNBA coaches have the same problem. Kudos to the Jacks for a strong showing tonight...but with the players fouled out for Louisville and given how much open shots they gave up, they had every chance to knock off the Cards, but just couldn't get it done.

Taking super deep three pointers for no reason? Why she was just living up to their name and JACKING up shots.
