Can I jump in late and play? I'm terrible at this, but need some diversion. I'm probably close to having surgery and trying to keep my mind off it.

sure. You won't be able to get as big a 'score' but that doesn't really matter does it?

and best of luck with your health!

I thought it might be Dolly Parton's brother.

I understand that Cardinal has been otherwise occupied of late so I took it upon myself to update the standings for the past two weeks. I think it was too much celebration for the incredible performance in picking 15 of 20 games correctly in week 2, and rather than show that performance to be a fluke, it was time to drop the mic and not even put pics in the past two weeks. Congratulations to Adamj and Dinkytown for winning week 3 with 13 of 19 correct. And also to Pureform who has moved to the top of the standings after 3 weeks. Please check your individual scores and post if I shorted you (or gave you too many points).

Week 2

1. Cardinal - 15
2. Lynx - 14
3. Howee - 13
3. Pureform - 13
3. Myrtle - 13
6. Adamj - 12
6. Calbearman - 12
8. Dinkytown - 11
9. Linkster - 10
10. UK1996 - 9
11. Pilight - 7

Week 3

1. Adamj - 13
1. Dinkytown -13
3. Lynx -12
3. Calbearman - 12
5. Myrtle - 11
5. UK1996 -11
5. Linkster - 11
5. Howee - 11
5. Pureform - 11
10. Pilight - 8

Standings (through 3 weeks)

1. Pureform (14,13,11) 38
1. Calbearman (14,12,12) 38
3. Lynx (11,14,12) 37
4. Adamj (11,12,13) 36
5. Myrtle (11,13,11) 35
5. Linkster (14,10,11) 35
5. Dinkytown (11,11,13) 35
8. UK1996 (12,9,11) 32
8. Howee (8,13,11) 32
10. Cardinal (11,15,-) 26
11. Pilight (10,7,8) 25

as bad as I've been, I'm still ahead of Howee so you must have figured it correctly. Laughing Thanks for doing this.

Anybody want to volunteer for week 6? That would be the 17th-23rd and it's best to not post it until the 11th when we are all into week 5. It really can be quite fun to pick out games of interest. Some of the ones I thought would be close turned out to be blowouts, but that happens too.

If no one objects I will continue to do the scoring through week 8. Hopefully Cardinal will be able to retake the reins at that time. As for picking the games, I agree with Myrtle, it is a fun exercise. If no one else volunteers I would be willing to do so for the rest of the month, but my schedule will be much more difficult after the first week in January.
