A little surprised at the matchup. I expected Hofstra to beat UNLV. I'll be there tomorrow.

A little bonus from game 1. Hofstra leads the consolation game 19-15 midway through the second quarter. The crowd is roughly 100, but I expect it to swell to the biggest crowd of the weekend for the final with the homestanding Rebels. Is 4 figures possible?

Wake 46-43 after 3. Much more athletic but can't pull away.

The Flying Dutchmen (I'm old and politically incorrect) win by 3. They took the score off the scoreboard so quickly, I think it was 67-64 but I'm not certain.

69-66 per gametracker, but they never said how Hofstra scored the last two with one second to go. What happened?
Did Wake actually foul on the inbound with one second left? Why?

This is different. It is an actual college atmosphere. There is a band and everything. There is a scoreboard with the points and fouls for players. I haven't seen cheerleaders yet, but who knows. As for the crowd, it is the largest ofthe weekend but I still doubt it will approach 400. Indeed I believe you could fit the audience for each of the 16 games I have seen into this 2500 seat arena.
Over the 4 days I will have seen 16 games involving 24 teams from 14 conferences in 3 different venues. Let the final game begin.

14-2 Minnesota after 3 minutes. I may be able to start my 450 mile drive home tonight a little earlier than I thought, but I will stay for at least 3 quarters.

Minnesota 46-43 at the half. UNLV has shown more athleticism than I expected. The Gophers have relied almost entirely on the 3, and despite a size advantage inside seem to have very little offensive coordination inside.
The crowd looks to be around 400.

Well, I'm sure I'll figure it out when I'm not simultaneously trying to watch the game. I did take a few pictures. As for the game, Minesota played a complete third quarter and didn't just rely on the 3. They are now in command 72-59 with 7 minutes to go
