No announcement has been made regarding Sides’ new destination, but McKeown said Sides would return to the WNBA, where she worked for six seasons before joining the Wildcats.

For sure...

Atlanta
Connecticut
Dallas
Las Vegas
New York
Seattle

Also, Chicago has no assistants listed on the roster page.

I am surprised she didn't finish out the season. They must want her to travel around and scout draft picks but you can do that these days from your living room after Northwestern practice with the PAC-12, BIG-10, and SEC networks and the WatchESPN app.

Looks like a record number of off-season openings. She stayed in the Chicago area when she went from the Sky to Northwestern, so I am guessing she goes back to the Sky.

Maybe. She worked with Pokey Chatman for a long time, so she could be headed to Indy.

Sides resigned " just before the season began to take a WNBA job, head coach Joe McKeown said Thursday."

Wonder would make both the WNBA team and Northwestern not wanting to announce her job change when it happened.

Maybe it hasn't been officially offered/accepted yet.

Not a shocker there as far as destination. Now if somebody can unravel the mystery of why she would return to an old role when just back in May she was elevated to associate coach of a P5 team with an aging coach. Hmmm... I have a couple conspiracy theories.

It doesn't surprise me that she went to Indiana. She has worked with Pokey since their days at LSU.

Personally I'd rather have the longer term job security of a Division I college job (when the team isn't a perennial basement dwellar) over a WNBA job. But the WNBA season is shorter - if the money is equivalent. And you don't have to recruit, which she may not like. Or maybe it's just the Pokie factor and she went to Northwestern only because she found out that Pokie was out.
