It'll be interesting to see how the Bears respond to Mulkey's family tragedy. My heart goes out to the family.

Sad indeed. I lost my first grandchild and only granddaughter (until I got the steps!) prematurely to a congenital birth defect also, so I can identify. Prayers for Kim's family as they deal with this.

Brown just too big and skilled inside for UCLA.

Who is the annoying color person?

Bruins look good but I wonder how much the LBs miss Kim/are affected by situation.

She's obviously worked hard on her shot. Hitting the 3 when the opponent goes under the screen is sure to impress WNBA scouts in attendance.

Brown looks really good, but beyond her Baylor looks really overrated, is my impression.

Where are the guards?

I thought Wallace would really show something this year. But maybe not. Certainly not today.

Good win for UCLA. 82-68 final.

Noticeable improvement from several Bruins. Overall good athleticism, and decent depth. Should be a good season.

Baylor looked better with Wallace and Chou on the bench. Brown couldn’t be stopped inside, but she couldn’t do it on her own.

Nobody seemed to stand out other than Brown. Pretty underwhelming.

Poor guard play? I'd say so. They were +15 on the glass and still lost by double digits...

I think Baylor and Texas are the 2 overrated teams in the Top 10.

Wallace isn't really a PG imo.

Who really knows how many points a few Kim outbursts are worth? Smile

Yes, Wallace is not a PG. The freshman Morris should be in the point albeit there will be a large learning curve. She is better than sophomore Landrum. Starting forward Lauren Cox was hospitalized for a diabetes episode but I doubt her presence would have been enough to overcome UCLA"s game. This is not a sweet 16 team; not yet anyway.

Oh yeah! I forgot about Cox. She would have helped.

yes, grats to your girls for a good performance. Keep it up and give UConn a run for their money.

+1

After Stanford was down 35 at the half to UConn and Cal lost by 35 to UConn, you are the last Pac-12 hope for respectability.

Good win by UCLA

Some of those turnovers by the Lady Bears wasnt even good defense or ball pressure by UCLA, it was dumb & weak passes by Baylor.

Canada Billing Brown all looked good.
