Loved the pictures and the story.
Did not appreciate the comments. Just recognized some people that should not of been.

As a sign of how times have changed, there's a link to pictures of the wedding at the top of the front page of wnba.com

Just read the comments. Depressing and infuriating but not surprising. But it's great that local media are offering positive coverage of this wedding.

I have no idea why comments sections are provided so often. Why not just post a picture of the writing on bathroom walls instead?

LOL, I agree that is where those comments belong.

The worst of the comments weren't so different from some of what I've seen on this board. Or from public remarks by a former WNBA player who shall remain nameless.

Nice article. Thanks for posting it stever. I liked that the article gets into the head of Elena a little bit. I think the more people know and understand her, the more people will love her the way Delaware fans love her.
She has a very, very deep love for her family and I am sure for Amanda. Some of her public decisions she has made affecting her basketball career were made with family being at the top of her head before making such important decisions. She is a very good basketball player that balances her job with her private life.

Great piece, got to know some new stuff about them. I follow them on social media and they are very active on IG and share their lives - and the funny thing is, and I don't mean to knock it, is that they are fairly "boring" and "vanilla" - all cute and good stuff, just nice to see the image. They're just like us.
The one thing I can't believe is that how does an Illinois State player never go east!? Did ISU not go East in her four years? Seems odd.
“I had never even been to the East Coast, like never New York, never anything,” says Amanda, who now runs Elena’s basketball academy. “Next thing I knew, I was driving from Chicago to Delaware to move into a house a mile down the road from her parents.”
