My official start day was Nov 1st so its appropriate that I sign off under this ID. I enjoyed the 5 years with the Liberty and leave behind a solid team with great chemistry. I hope they achieve their goal of winning a championship (not at our expense).
They are in good hands.

Can you answer questions about Vegas, like are they changing their name, and if so, have they picked one out yet?

Sorry fans of the names "Lions", "Lasers", "Lunars", "Luck", "Losers", "Ladies", "Lambasters", etc.... this signing out move makes it look like you're out of luck.

Thanks so much for all you shared with Liberty fans and others. And thanks for your years working for our team.

And hoping that Katie Smith will join us on the New York Liberty 2018 thread. Perhaps as KLFO? Smile

I think you did a great job with the Liberty.

Going to Vegas.. Always bet on Bill. Razz

I watched almost every Stars game last season due to having Kayla McBride, Isabelle Harrison and Dearica Hamby on my W Fantasy Draft Team, so I look forward to seeing you take the team to the next level. Idea

Had to figure at some point Katie Smith was going to get an opportunity. So I'm glad if it had to be this way that it was done in a natural progression, at a time when Smith is clearly ready to be a HC.

At the same time, I'll miss having Bill on the sideline on our side. I personally felt it provided an additional intangible advantage. Each of the last 3 season NY has outperformed its expected win total based on point differential. 2015 was just awesome in spite of not going the distance because we knew the team was on the map and it really overperformed compared to its talent. Last year was bittersweet. But NY does have a good amount of talent that still might translate into future value.

In 5 seasons NY players suffered 3 major season-ending or altering injuries, (one in the offseason) which to my recollection is only approached by Connecticut in terms of severity. Carson's career, which appeared on a clearly upward trajectory in 2013, was never the same. Piph had some hiccups last year but appears on her way to recovery. On Boyd, the jury is out. I know it sounds like sour grapes, but when you watch other teams be relatively healthy come playoff time, and you're looking at potentially career-altering injuries, 3 times in 5 years is not what you expect. If not for that, perhaps we'd have had happier endings.

In any case, you did a great job and I thank you for it. You'll do the same in LV I'm sure.

Oh and...Moriah Jefferson for Sugar Rodgers? I think it'd help both teams in a big way. Wink
