Thanks, as always, for the updates. But can I suggest either updating or removing the stuff in the right-hand sidebar? It's kinda confusing to have last season's groups/standings next to an article on this season's.

On a separate note, what the hell happened to Nadezhda's budget? That's a miserable-looking roster compared to previous recent years.

I don't have the power to change the sidebar, so I let Mo know about it and the EuroCup one and she will make some changes.

Nadezhda was relying on Alex Bentley to lead them with Cannon as the second option, but with her injury, the team just looks rough, although it would have been incredible for them to win their opener. Jones seems like a gamble that has not paid off at all and they are in the tougher of the two EuroLeague groups so they have no margin for mistakes just to drop down to the EuroCup knockout stage. It seems like their domestic core has weakened from last year when their Americans were not always firing either.

Hatay has a nice little squad with Mitchell and Paris. They're 3-0 in Eurocup play, and 3-0 in Turkish league play. Can't believe Paris went 9 for 9 at the FT line in rd 1 of EC.

@ Diamond Deshields leading the Turkish league in scoring Very Happy

Because they took on Fenerbahce with the venerable Plum, Dabovic, and Vaughn.

Because UMMC is still depending the most on Taurasi and she is not playing well at the moment. Griner just isnt as dominant overseas. Never has been

Am i the only one who thought plum would shine overseas ? Shes pretty much doing the same if not worse than she performed in the W so far.

Yeah, I really thought she would adjust better.

Did you mean "wouldn't" shine? From the few clips I've seen, it looks like she's doing the same things she did in Washington, only with less success. Dribble, dribble, dribble.... dribble, dribble, dribble.... dribble, dribble, dribble... look for an opening on the left side and drive. Not unlike Sims....

I think she should have stayed in the states and worked with a trainer hard core. She's probably not going to be significantly better next season, but we'll see what Laimbeer can do... not anticipating a lot because he hasn't really had success lately developing guards, unless you give him credit for Sugar Rodgers... who is inconsistent off the bench.

I sadly agree with you shades Laughing Sugar Shoot Over The Backboard Rodgers cannot be called a success story in my opinion.

But she did make the All Star team and was named the Sixth Person of the Year.

She was an All star replacement and 6th man of the 1st half of the season. The League got tired of giving it to Renee Montgomery lol

Good point ... and there's not enough depth in the league for a really good player not to be starting.
