Good to see Macy Miller back, but sad to see that she didn't have the greatest game. Hopefully, she'll work her way back into the games from her injuries.

She didn’t look that bad in person. A little rusty but it was nice to see her out there again. Will be interesting to see what AJ does with the lineup. She started as the 3 for this one.

Mighty Cedarville (19-11) in D2 stunned Penn State 59-53. http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/w-baskbl/recaps/102917aac.html

For perspective, Cedarville lost to Ashland, D2 National Champs by 46 points last year.

I thought they couldn't play another D1 in preseason? Guess not.

Led by 28-point performances from guard Kelsey Mitchell and forward Stephanie Mavunga, Ohio State proved to be too much for defending Division II national champion Ashland as the Buckeyes defeated the Eagles 110-80 Sunday afternoon in their first exhibition game of the season.

I think the NCAA gave out a whole boatload of waivers for charity games, both men's and women's. (I'm... not sure how much of a draw, and thus how much money St. John's and Rutgers will raise at the RAC as a men's game, but their hearts are in the right place, I'm sure.)

I know the Purdue and Indiana State men's teams did one this weekend. I think the money was for Houston and Puerto Rico.

Because why not throw the political grenade into the thread? Several Vandy players knelt during their exhibition yesterday: http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2017/10/30/vanderbilt-womens-basketball-players-kneel-during-national-anthem/812554001/

Harking back to "I can't breathe". Or are we still there? Not a lot has changed, really....for African-Americans, Hispanics, or Natives.

Marquette isn't playing any exhibition games this year and I can't go to any games until November 28th Sad. This is the first time I can recall them ever having no exhibition games. I'm guessing they are doing a closed scrimmage or two but I may never know with no real media coverage.

Notre Dame is playing Indiana (Pennsylvania).

These Div II teams are generally overmatched but Indiana is usually pretty solid at their level, winning their conference and so forth. #20 and #6 in the two Div 2 preseason polls. But even so, this one quickly got out of hand. 35-8 at the end of one quarter. 51-15 midway through the second.

Jackie Young had 11 pts after 5 minutes of play. Freshman Mikayla Vaughn has 17 pts already in the first half as well as three blocked shots.

60-22 at the half.

Final 108-41. Vaughn leads scoring with 30 in her first ND outing.

I read on the JMU board that the Dukes played UVA in a closed scrimmage that no one knew about or was told about and spanked the Cavs pretty soundly. "81 south, 64 east" as the cheer goes! Very Happy Sounds promising for the Dukes' season if everyone stays healthy.
