Are McBride and Vandersloot going back to Yakin Dogu in Turkey? What about Parker at Fenerbahce?

They might be. These are the ones I could confirm.

Glad to hear that, that's a nice level for her to hit in Europe. Polish League where she should be able to produce well and develop, and ELW where she'll get some real tests week to week against the best (assuming CCC make it through the qualifying round).

How do rosters and teams work in Australia? It seems to a casual observer as if rosters get completely shuffled every year. Do they not have multi-year contracts? Is there no presumption that people will play with the same team year to year? Or is my observation incorrect about the seeming lack of continuity?

I hope Perth has big posts that like to stay on the defensive end, cause they are going to outlet to Whitcomb and Williams and it's going up!

I have no idea. Firstly, it clearly would vary a LOT, because there are plenty of Americans in the league that aren't WNBA-calibre. There is no salary cap in the WNBL, but there is not a lot of money in women's basketball either, so the salary variance would be much larger than in the WNBA.
I'm going to guess that someone like Liz Cambage would be making 6 figures, but she's likely the only one because she is bankable here, like Lauren Jackson was.
Imports aren't as predictable. The way they perform down here doesn't always correlate to their American reputation. Courtney Williams is an interesting one because I think we can safely say she will be a star in this league, but I have no idea what she would be making. The guy who owns the Perth Lynx is a pretty rich man, but his women's team is not profitable and he doesn't just throw money away. My wild guess for CW .. maybe US$50k? But I really don't know. The salary side of things has never really been an interest of mine.

Your observation is correct. Star players in particular tend to move around a bit, and the stable part of the rosters tends to be the bench. (It's really not worth it for a player to relocate to another city for minimum wage). There are multi-year contracts, but single-year ones would be more common. It's really not a professional league that pays well, so the lack of commitment would be coming from the players as well as from the clubs.

Yeah it's going to be interesting in Perth. Alice Kunek loves to shoot as well. Our centre, and 2nd import, is Amanda Dowe, who I know nothing about (other than she is a Charlotte 49ers alum and has recently played in France - but not their premier league), but I sure hope she can defend & rebound.

I would love to see Kelsey Griffin give it another go in the W. Several teams I think could benefit from her play...Phoenix, Indiana, Chicago, SAS (where couldn't they use help?), maybe even NY or (gasp) Minnesota.

Ruth Hamblin did a nice job last season of documenting her aussie experience via Twitter, Instagram & her blog. Fun player to follow.
She has taken it up a level this season and is doing a Vlog on YouTube: Ruth Untold Vlog
