Name Nina Simone's top five rock & roll hits. She was a blues, R&B, jazz, gospel, and non-rock pop singer.

And since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame lets any genre of performer in, that's how I chose her as one of my picks to get in.

It has nothing to do with whether she's rock or not.

And I believe the question was who would I choose.

She shouldn't be on the ballot. That's where the error occurred. Now that she's on the ballot, though, she is probably a shoe in for selection.

It's like people don't know the history of Rock & Roll.

Bon Jovi
Kate Bush
Depeche Mode
Judas Priest
Radiohead

The organization would save themselves a lot of grief if they'd just do the right thing and change the name to the Music Hall Of Fame.

But then do you overlap or even usurp the "country music hall of fame"? And if you call it that, do you also include classical music and classical musicians?

Yep, every year they nominate people who do a genre that is not rock or heavy metal, etc.. And rock is declining bigtime anyway. Who is doing Rock N' Roll hits these days? If they have a rock n roll act at the Super Bowl the performers are going to be AARP age.

You don't follow music much I guess.

I'm surprised by all the modern popular rock groups you named.

I am a huge Judas Priest fan, but I will not be surprised that if they get snubbed.

Of course, I think Warren Zevon should be in and let's not forget about Iron Maiden who is not only one of the great acts of "the past" but they are still out there doing great albums and amazing tours (which I saw this past summer) and they can't even get a whiff?
