Minnesota Lynx To Host Verizon WNBA All-Star 2018

Quote:
Verizon WNBA All-Star 2018, the league’s midseason showcase, will be played on Saturday, July 28 in Minneapolis. This marks the first time the Twin Cities and the Lynx, which has appeared in the WNBA Finals in five of the last six seasons, will host the All-Star Game. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.

Some of us have known since the Seattle All Star game. It's good to have so many ex Mercury employees in the league! Smile

Now let's hope Magic & Co. get the Sparks to host it in 2019.

The 28th is about a week later than this year. Maybe the season will be starting a little later.

I think it'll actually start earlier due to the World Championships starting at the end of September. I think the league will wrap up the season by August 25/26 and playoffs will end by September 22. Expect a condensed schedule, too.

I'm planning to go. Never been to Minnesota, and it will be my first All-Star Game.

Another 2 cent bet, that it turns into Team USA vs. WNBA All-Stars. Team USA will likely have a spring camp but little time to actually compete as a team before taking on the rest of the World, so it wouldn't be a surprise to use that wkend as a little tune up Idea

That doesn't sound off because it IS a WC year but I hope not...stars at the sun was Bor-Ing....the unofficial Radio city ASG was somewhat better but only somewhat

The NBA is going to a draft format for their 2018 All-Star Game.

Giving it to Minny is a great choice. Terrific fan base, and solid culture of support for WBB.
