Tbh Griner finally showed up this season and lived up to what everyone predicted her to be. A dominating force.
EDD already has been that force for 5 years. So my vote goes to her. Let Griner perform like this for another year or 2 and then she takes it

By that logic, you could make the case that Delle Donne has already peaked, whereas Griner has caught her, and is still improving.

Delle Donne is not still improving? She just had by far the most efficient scoring season of her career.

At age 27, how shocking...

I don't know that averaging a career low in field goal attempts points to evidence of improvement. Evidence of maturity, maybe, but one would hope that if a player of Delle Donne's caliber started taking fewer shots, while having to play fewer minutes, that she would become more efficient. Which begs the question, how much of her 'improvement' is simply her playing with better players, and having less of a burden to score? It's not like any other aspect of her game got better.

I disagree, her rebounding has improved tremendously since she entered the league. I would say she is an overall better defender too, still not great, but better.

"Since she entered the league" is not synonymous with continuous improvement, though. Like, that would be a legit argument if I'd said that she hasn't improved since Delaware, or she hasn't improved since her rookie season. All I said is that she may have peaked, and your post doesn't invalidate that... Also, her rebounding numbers have dropped two years in a row, now. So, if there was an argument that she's still getting better, that ain't it.

Rebounds per 36
2015 9.1
2016 7.7
2017 8.0
TRB%
2015 14.5
2016 12.5
2017 12.7
Dropped 2 years in a row?

SUPER LATE EDIT - You know what? I will concede the point. But only because I still have a valid rebuttal, which is this: Delle Donne's rebounding in 2017 being closer to what it was in 2015, compared to what it was in 2016 only serves as evidence that she's not regressing. It does not, in any substantive way, support the argument that she's still getting better. Which, lest anyone accuse me of moving goalposts, if you go back to my OP in this thread, you will see was my original thesis.
