Who are some freshman this year that will have a impact and help the team they play on?

Chennedy Carter at A&M. With Curthce Knox graduated the point guard position is open on a team that has some pretty solid prospects at all other positions. Whereas Knox was an assist machine, Carter is much more of a put points on the board and a creator of her own shot. It provides another scoring option for the Aggies.

BLair did bring in UTEPs starting point guard from last year, Lulu McKinney, as a grad transfer to help with Carters assimilation to this level of play.

The "Q-use" have a couple frosh posts coming in who will be asked to contribute with the graduations of Isabella Slims and the Day Twins. Digna Strautmane is a highly ranked kid out of Latvia who has lots of FIBA experience. Amaya Finklea-Guity is a local out of Massachusetts who could also be counted on to contribute.

I think Anastasia Hayes and Evina Westbrook. Since the guard position is thin at Tennessee. I do think both will have good years.

I see Hayes, Westbrook, and Davis all as being given an opportunity to contibute this year. It bodes well for the future of the program that this talent level is available.

Yes I agree. I think the next class if Tennessee can get another commit will be helpful.

Carter looks like she could make some noise but these years are not strong.

I'm sure many will have good impacts.

Based on watching the McD AA game, the Jordan Classic game and all the U19 games, I would say that Chennedy Carter, now at TAMU, was the best high school player of 2017 that I've seen. I won't be surprised if she ends up as FOY.

Westbrook, Hayes and Davis at Tennessee, Carter at A&M, Rellah Boothe at Texas, Sidney Cooks at Michigan State, Kiana Williams at Stanford and Dawn Evans at Louisville all have an opportunity to start and impact at a position in need. My gut tells me that when all is said and done Cooks will be the best player in this class.

While Walker is athletically gifted, skill-wise I think she has a ways to go before she will be featured heavily at UConn.

Tiana England damn well better be at St. John's or I'm going to have to question why she got the #3 that's belonged to three straight All-Big East performers.

Have hopes for Williams at Stanford. We need some clarity and depth at PG. Also not a Frosh but I'm interested to see what Grymek, the 6-8 CC girl from Poland can do at OrSU. Another foreigner, true Freshman Australian Horvat for UCLA appears to have a lot of potential.

Christinaki should quite literally hit the floor running at Maryland.

Oops. Wrong thread. She's a transfer, not a frosh.

South Carolina returns veterans Wilson and Cuevas-Moore, and rising sophomore sensation Harris as sure bets for starting positions. Also rising sophomore F Herbert-Harrigan showed flashes of brilliance last season, if a bit inconsistent. She would be in the running for a position as well....

They will have UK transfer F Jennings eligible to play this season, and she's a veteran of the physical SEC play and produced very well during her time in Lexington. Plus she spent her NCAA-mandated red-shirt year with the Gamecocks practicing and learning the philosophies: she's a front-runner for major minutes as well....

The three incoming freshman of W Grissett, F Williams, and G Jackson are all contenders to impact the team IMO. All three are very athletic and dynamic scorers and play-makers, and I feel each should bring something to the games that the other Gamecocks may not, with Wilson the lone exception. They are all players that are used to putting their teams on their backs and scoring 50+ pts if necessary, so I expect them to assert themselves early in the season as contributors.....

Redshirt freshman 6'3 F Kelly Koshuta should make a big impact for JMU this season. She was a 5-star recruit going to VA Tech but never played a single game for them, transferred even before the season began....Kenny Brooks' final gift to us I guess.

Mikayla Vaughn led Notre Dame in its exhibition game. She played 22 minutes, scoring 30 points while missing only one shot (12 of 13 from the floor). She added 8 rebounds (5 offensive) and 5 blocks while committing only one foul.

She's going to play a major role for ND this year.

In her first start, Myah Selland of South Dakota State finishes with 12 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds in 21 minutes! Played better than in the exhibition games

UCLA’s freshman looked good....

Michaela Onyenwere 19 points 10 rebounds, very athletic and moves well.
Both Kayla Owens 7 pts, 3 rebounds and Chantel Horvat 12 pts, 3reb, 1 asst also look to poised to have an impact for the Bruins.

Very happy with the Trees' Jerome and Dodson. Feeling better about our future post situation. They got thrown to the coyotes and next come the wolves in their first two games and they both played significant minutes with reasonable lines. Was hoping for more from our highly touted Frosh guards, but hopefully that will come with time. Tara basically said they would all be fine but are still struggling with Stanford's massive playbook.

Watching Oregons game against CSUN both Satou Sabbaly and Anneli Maley looked like they will both be impact players. Anneli is a 6'2" G/F from Australia who plays with a similar intensity as Sabrina. 6' 4" Satou does everything well and plays every position. She ended up with 11 pts 3 asst and 4 steals in just 16 min. Both will get at least starter min if they do not end up starting themselves. Presently they are the first two off the bench. Because they are foreign players they did not get the hype that most players in the states got.

Both players look like they are at least equal to present starters, but since they are new they come off the bench. Oregons roster has a roster loaded with quality players.

Myah Selland at SDSU will be one to watch for the Jacks. She looks good already.
