They're not firing on all cylinders anymore. They were the best 3pt shooting team in the league by a large margin. But the last few games, they're 3pt shooting as been atrocious. Stricklen is on a 6 or 7 game shooting slump now and can't hit anything.

I'm doubting they beat the Wings in a couple days.

You mean the 9-5 at home but 4-9 on the road Wings?

The Wings team that has not won a road game since June?

Assuming Jasmine Thomas plays, not so sure that Connecticut loses this game.

My ping pong chant has gotten fainter over the last week. So any noise for that parade will be appreciated dearly Laughing

Congrats to this incredible team for clinching their first playoff spot since 2012. Well done Sun.

Sun don't have a very hard schedule remaining. They could end up with 22-23 wins. Games against the Dream, Wings, Sky, and Liberty seems pretty winnable. Games against the Mystics, Sparks, and Mercury (2) will be harder but they could still win one or two.

Congratulations indeed! So proud of this team and my hometown girl Alyssa Thomas.

I think the Sun can make a run for that #2 seed. LA has a tougher schedule than Connecticut, so it could be an interesting finish.

The Sparks own the tiebreaker, so it will be tough

It was posted in the Lynx thread, but I figured I'd continue it here. Thoughts on Torrens finally coming over? Maybe with the Sun finally looking like a good team she might consider it? Adding her, Chiney and a first round pick will make them very deep!

PG: JThomas/Torrens
SG: Williams/Bentley/Banham
SF: AThomas/Stricklen
PF: COgwumike/Tuck
C: JJones/Kizer/draft pick

Torrens is a wing, not a backup point guard. And the chances of her ever showing up in the US remain distinctly slim (and hardly seem likely to increase in the year her country is hosting the World Cup).

Torrens is a SF
If they can get her, they can more seriously consider trading Ogwumike.

Step 1:
In January, trade Banham for rights to Cruz.

Step 2:
Sign Torrens, pointing out rights of two other Spanish national team members are also owned by the Sun. Torrens becomes starting SF.

Step 3:
Trade Ogwumike for best deal. I like Lavender and something else. Maybe they would prefer future consideration, like maybe '18 & '19 first round picks.

Step 4: Invite Romero to camp.

Step 5: 2018 draft picks compete for bench spots.
