It's playoff time! - almost. Time to rock & roll. Let's get Odyssey and Sydney as comfortable coming off the bench as possible while Essence & Riquna recuperates during these final regular season tune up games. Sandrine and Tiffany may need to see action to ramp up that playoff energy.

To ensure a well-rested squad for the playoffs I think it would be in everyone's best interest for Nneka, Parker and Gray to play limited minutes. 20 each should work. Wiese and Lavender are pretty fresh. Get them a solid 35 minutes each. Just looking out for you guys. Honest.

For real though, the Sparks aren't getting past the Sun with a rotation this shallow.

And I'm sure you'll be advocating lots of rest for the Sparks' best players in their forthcoming games against Washington and Phoenix. Smile

I for one want a rotation as such

Starters:
G Gray
G Beard
F Parker
F Ogwumike
C Lavender

Reserves
Sims
Wiese
Gruda
Jackson - Jones

That way you don't run all your guards down early. Keep 2 guards with 2 posts and play parker and Ogwumike at the 3 until Carson come back....

We still have a shot at the top seed. There will be no excessive resting for our starters until we either win the top spot or have secured the #2 seed outright. We need to sweep the Liberty! Of course, if Syd the Kid reprises her early season effort against the Mystics this afternoon (8-13 from the field, 6-10 from downtown), some of our starters will get extra rest time. Cool

Agler always runs a shallow rotation though. They could use Carson for perimeter defense I suppose but Williams isn't a big factor IMO.

FWIW, as of 27 minutes before gametime, Sparks starting lineup is listed at MSG as Beard-Sims-Williams-Parker-Ogwumike.

the faith and destiny of the sparks all depend on whether candace parker shows up interested and not to fuck around with the 'magic johnson' mind set.

the Sparks are swarming Tina everytime she touches the ball. Someone else needs to step up immediately. Our bench was pretty useless that quarter, too.

This perimeter lineup of Allen/Rodgers/Allen right now gives NY nothing.

Agreed. This is why our biggest need for 2018 is a legit SF.

Yeah good to see. Can anyone tell Parker that they cant guard her when she goes to the basket and that she needs to stop shooting bricks from the outside
