This game demonstrates why I call BS when the announcers say that Monty "could be a starter on many other teams in this league".

Ummm Chelsea F'n Gray. Love that kid. Im going to go out on a limb and say she's becoming one of the top point guards in this league. What other pg is having a better season? Pilight? Thomas? Diggins? Vandersloot? Clarendon? Bird? I'd say Chels is slowly becoming a premiere pg in this league. Now come on LA. Hold on to the lead.

Diggins, Vandersloot, Gray is the top 3 this season imo

Sloot.
But Gray is coming along nicely for sure.

If only Maya could have made that layup. Would only be down 3.

Easy mistake to make, Candace. It's not like Brunson is a player you'd normally need to box out.

If only Candace could box out we'd be up 5. Smh.

Lynx had plenty of opportunities to win this game at the end. Even after Maya's missed layup they then missed 3 more open/easy shots.

And can we start a petition to get new broadcasters? Especially ones that actually know and can remember the rules?

The shit at the end with the number of team fouls...there was only 50 some seconds left in the game. The number of team fouls is irrelevant, a team is inly allowed 1 foul to give at that time.

Such amateur hour.

Glad LA got the W! There was definitely a lot of energy in the air. Sadly, I don't know if it was a good game because I was stressed the whole time! Laughing

Time to beat the Dead horse.....unless minny can trade her for a young PG or SG....Natasha Howard is a wasted asset. It makes no sense that she's sitting on the bench losing value in the final year of her contract....when the season is over, minnesota should match any offer, then trade(offer) Howard & the 2018 1st rd pick to SA for M.Jefferson.

I need to hurry and get back in school because I know I can do a better job than those two. I'm an LA fan and unfortunately they call all of our games Embarassed

Mary Murphy is pain to my ears lol

Why would SA make that deal? 👎🏿

Brian's O is no Van Gogh,
and Nnek O is a no-show.
Yet Cheryl sobs on skid row,
with nothing but a logo.

Yeah they're really bad. Not a good look for such a dominant franchise to have such poor commentary. They remind me of a DIII school broadcast team, not a WNBA one.

1.Because a Plum/Jefferson backcourt has it's limits.

2.Howard has upside at the PF position.

3.San Antonio would also get a late 1st rd pick. The stars could then draft Nared,Canada,Russell,Billings,Vivians,or Brown.

4.Jefferson's had some nagging injuries.San Antonio runs the risk of losing Mo to an injury(Faulkner),and getting nothing in return.

This is where we miss Whalen. Monty is just out of control right now. Need Whalen and her calm to regain control of the game. No flow to the offense, just a bunch of players jacking up shots.

I caught only the last six minutes and otherwise caught the box score as well as Sunday's game. I think another part of not having Whalen is getting the team into its sets in a timely manner. Whalen and Bird have done it for years and I think Jasmine Thomas has also excelled at it for CT this year. As a sub, Renee is a good change of pace, adding speed and energy to the game, which teammates can feed off of. As a starter, that frenetic energy is not as sustainable. And late in games when you need Whalen to make the clutch shot or to get the team into a quick set that gets someone else a good shot, you're missing that like you said.

I think it's a part of the game that's easy to underestimate. Ironically, possibly before you got here during 2010 there was at least one poster who insisted the Charles trade was terrible and that Montgomery was better than Whalen. Getting Maya in 2011 was obviously a difference maker but today that Renee-Whalen argument would be considered ridiculous.
