Fear the Walking Dead is a prequel. Star Trek:Enterprise was a prequel. The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was a prequel. Also many animated series (Muppet Babies, a Pup Named Scooby Doo, Yo Yogi, etc.)

I had a feeling there could have been others, but I never watch dramas, outside of British mysteries, where I have seen a prequel that I almost mentioned (Inspector Morse/Endeavour). This could be the first sitcom prequel.
