I like Sami's scrappiness but assumed she had always been a SG. If she's played PG before then yeah, by all means give her a go. It would be hard to be worse. Not sure why Peterson has regressed, but it's a hard position to adjust to the speed/power of the W game.

It looked to me like Jenny waited until Hooper came in to give her (what she perceived as) a slow white girl to guard...which is too bad since I think she's a way better defender than KML for instance.

Petey has had better stretches.

Yet another game in which Seattle can't take care of the ball. So much talk pregame about slowing Atlanta down, but this is basically the opposite of what you want if you're the Storm.

I actually liked the idea of giving Peterson minutes if you think she could be part of your future. She has to play sometime. But man did it not work. And it creates a problem because Quinn's size allowed them to play small wings like Whitcomb more, then cross-match on D. If Peterson's the backup PG instead, you're incredibly small on the perimeter if your wings are two of Loyd/Whitcomb/KML.

Boucek seemed to want to shake up her rotation and then got a little lost. There was a quick stretch late in the half where Bird, Loyd and Stewart were all on the bench together. That should never happen outside of garbage time.

Fain is unusually restrained tonight. BTW - where are all the people who complained about Ramu's names being mispronounced when "Claritan" is being spoken so frequently by the lady announcer (and by Ann Meyers the other night).

Nice to see the Round Mound from Downtown shooting well.

Unfortunately she's a major liability on defense. Now -10 in this game in spite of the shooting. Too bad, because I thought at the beginning of the year she was in pretty good shape and might have a real turn-around year.

Yeah. That's never gonna change, especially if she keeps expanding.

Any particular reason why Cooper counters Peterson with Darxia Morris?

Maybe he figured that if there was ever going to be a matchup Morris could handle, Peterson was it.

Morris has been an absolute trainwreck in the very limited minutes she's played for Atlanta since signing for them. Turnover waiting to happen every time she touches the ball.

Morris is the first player to make me ask for Ajavon to come in.

And that is why you need to get the best lines. Seattle wins by 6.

Storm with nice fluid offense in the second half. Bird is so good. She still looks 20 and is still in great playing shape.

If whoever put all that money down to move the line covered it on the other side afterwards, they made a killing.

Finally someone managed to out-choke the Storm in a 4th quarter.
Very unconvincing win IMO, aided by a questionable call in Stewie's favour at an important stage of the game. I'll take it though. Langhorne's 9-9 was a nice make-up for Jewell's 1-9.

It was hilarious listening to Fain and the other broadcaster (forgot her name) talk about Langhorne's streak "it's gotta be a record!" seemingly forgetting about something that happened...last year.

No indication of any covering. The line ended at 6.5, 7 or 7.5, but in all cases is was at the high for each sports book in Nevada. But I'm sure the books would have loved a "meaningless" basket by the Dream on their final possession.

Im on the airport waiting for my flight to Corsica(france). Good to see that the Storm took the win. With Quinn unavailable i want Loyd and Sami to bring the ball up. No Peterson unless its a blowout. Heck even Stewart brings the ball up the court more often and gets into a hornset or something

Some of us knew Peterson was mediocre when seattle drafted her.A undersized, shoot first, low i.q poing guard who's a defensive liability has a zero% chance of being successful at the pro level.Seattle would be better off using Peterson as a instant offensive player off the bench......Seattle's going nowhere until they upgrade their supporting cast.

Yep, has absolutely nothing to do with her being out with a knee injury and still nursing it back to health. Rolling Eyes
