If the Dream play as well as they did in Phoenix, we would win. Sadly, I've seen this movie before. Play great in Phoenix, come to Seattle, and not so great.

Looking at Fan Duel we see some rather interesting prices for players for tonight's games.

Sykes, Clarendon and Hayes all cost $6300 tonight. However, Their average FPG is 17, 26 and 27 respectively. So Hayes is a bargain, while Sykes is pretty pricey. I'm not sure how they price players but I presume they must be looking at recent trends, as Sykes has been pretty hot lately while Hayes has not been scoring as much.

On the Storm side Loyd (26 FPG) is $6000 while Bird (23) is $5300.

I usually go 3 of the high priced posts and then fill out the roster with lower priced players I hope will have a big night. Tonight I have Stewart (35 FPG) and I'm hoping Holmes has a good night.

Is someone injured for Atlanta? This game opened at Seattle -3 and it's all the way up to -7 now at some sites.

You are asking us basement dwellers if we know something like that? Only thing I can think of is it seems possible Dantas has gone to practice with her NT for a FIBA tournament but as of now there is no announcement on that.

Are you sure that isn't just noise? Or maybe the world of organized crime and gambling read my post about playing well in PHO and then bombing in SEA.

I haven't seen any injury reports, but the WNBA does such a poor job of reporting injuries that I really have no idea. Looking at the line movement, Seattle was initially bet up to 5 early in the day and then the line jumped at most places between 1:20-1:35 to 6.5. So either someone really liked the Storm or there was some information that came out then.

Well the Storm quite easily blew their big lead with turnovers. 8-0 run for the Dream to end the quarter.

no shit. And there was no reason for it. How can you put her in except at the end of a game when you're up by 30.

I guess it was because the gamblers knew Seattle would be shooting like 70% from the field tonight.

C'mon Jenny, let Sami in to this party!
I want to see her & KML out there at the same time, with Sue distributing.

Jenny waits two minutes too long to call the TO.

I liked Peterson in college but this is just throwing her to the wolves. They'd be better off having Clark run the point for a few minutes to give Sue a break if Quinn is not available.

I do like the idea of giving her a chance for redemption after the initial horror stretch of the 1st quarter.

Huh. I was thinking Sami must be hurt, but she finally gets in there Smile

The Storm just can't stand prosperity. When the game gets close they seem to turn it up, but they can't hold a big lead.

I think it just comes down to the bench being way down on production/confidence, but you can't play the starters 40 minutes. Sue especially. Somehow they've got to find combinations involving the bench that actually work.

Nice to see the Round Mound from Downtown shooting well.

Unfortunately she's a major liability on defense. Now -10 in this game in spite of the shooting. Too bad, because I thought at the beginning of the year she was in pretty good shape and might have a real turn-around year.

Haha, I didn't want Peterson to begin with, I'm just saying that after that first horror stretch then I don't hate the idea of giving her another shot in the 1st half once the momentum has been restored again - which it had. Give her a chance to adjust, but on a short leash of course.

Personally I'd try Sami as a PG for a while now if Noelle can't play, and see how that goes. She has played that role plenty down here.
