I'm just saying I don't remember her having it when she was at UNC

Her dad is on the Aggie football staff.

In an interview with the Assr. coaches (Bond-White, Wright, Starkey), this is a crucial get for next years team. The only other point guard on the team is Blue Chipper frost Chennedy Carter. They felt that she needs a mentor on the team and McKinney can fill this role. McKinney knows most of the team already for holidays and vacations with the fam in CS so familiarity won't be an issue.

Lots of darker complected women have them. It's a common thing with women of South Asian descent, where a common thing among many of the wealthier young ones is persuading mummy to allow them to get electrolysis (I learned this in those 3 am conversations with my Indian colleagues). The others just bleach. Italian and Greek women also sometimes have them.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Jackie Benitez transfers from Siena to JMU. She will have 3 years of eligibility left after sitting out this coming season. She picked the Dukes over Va. Tech, St. John's, Wisconsin, Clemson, UNH, Seton Hall and Rutgers. I think she likes us!

Sad news from Siena and the MAAC

http://www.twcnews.com/nys/capital-region/sports/2017/07/7/siena-s-margot-hetzke-retires-from-basketball.html

always sad to see but glad we're being more aware of the long term dangers of concussions and that Margot is doing the right thing here. Nothing but the best for her and the Saints

Never heard of her before this message, but I love people who figure out how to work the system in their favor. (Now whether she would have been better off going to one college is a different question, but at least she made her own choices ...)

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball program announced the addition of Elli Koskinen to the 2017-18 roster today by head coach Lynne Roberts. The 6-5 Koskinen comes to the Utes from Finland where she played club ball and for the National team.

The highly recruited forward out of Finland will look to make an immediate impact with the Utes this season. Koskinen has represented her home country on the international stage on multiple occasions, playing for the U15 (2011), U16 (2012) and U18 (2013-14) National teams, bringing big atmosphere experience to the Jon M. Huntsman Center this winter.

INDEED! You didn't know that "Utah" was named for a tribe called The Utes? Laughing

Now, I'm trying to comprehend how North Dakota got THEIR Indian name yanked from them, when the Utes, Illini and Seminoles still exist....??? (...and are there others?) Shocked

Because it's considered "racist". My great grandma was full blooded Native American and was the biggest Fighting Sioux fan.

...why do I get the feeling there are two completely different frames of reference colliding in this thread?

In unrelated but topical news, Joyner Holmes will not be at Texas for the fall semester: http://texassports.com/news/2017/7/15/womens-basketball-statement-from-ut-athletics-on-joyner-holmes.aspx
