I've been wondering too! I know that it's nothing official but on Instagram, someone wished her well in her recovery, etc. and she said, "I'll be fine Smile don't worry!"

Hopefully, this is a good indication that all is well. We shall see!

There are a number of great interviews up by Delmy Barillas. Here are a few.

Sydney Wiese-Love her maturity! https://twitter.com/DelmyBarillas/status/865815674379161601

Kristi Toliver is missing playing with her friends in LA but is ready for the challenge in Washington: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvjr7z63uVE&t=2s

Riquna Williams indicated that she's still working her way back to 100% and there are some things they need to correct regarding her injury. (Not sure if that is surgery or just rehab). She noted that Coach made it very clear that he wasn't going to let her settle and would be riding her all season! lol! She's thankful that people still believe in her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0q8tSfPkxes

Odyssey Sims is day-to-day with a left ankle injury and is not with the team on their road trip: https://twitter.com/hoopism/status/867207559484022784

The starting lineup I want:

PG Chelsea
SG Odyssey
SF Alana
PF Nneka
C Candace

Less time for Riquna: More time for Sidney (or any time, really). I'm glad Riquna broke out of her slump and she can be useful @ less than 20 mins/game. This may not be possible due to Odyssey continuing to recover from bad ankle sprain, (and her being the back up PG) but I like this five on the floor together. Best offensive group in the W.

Not the biggest of news, but I read something yesterday that we waived Ify Ibekwe, and not the big from Senegal (?) that sat at the end of the bench, Diarra.

Anyways, I wasn't expecting any players to be waived, but wondering if any one has any ideas of whether we are bringing someone else in, or heard any rumors to that effect. Wondering if it might be to bring Gruda back or one of the other Euros from last season. Having one more big like Gruda could be helpful, but we already have CP, Nneka, Jantel, and TJJ (and Diarra). Or, if we bring a biggest sized wing in, possibly Dabovic or Belyakova. I love Dabovic, but she is such a defensive liability that I would prefer Belyakova.

They might well bring Ibekwe back on a 10-day. Contracts become guaranteed today, so waiving her gave them more flexibility for the second half of the season.

They also might waive Diarra as well today. I don't see why they'd want to guarantee her contract (although I'm also not really sure why she's on the roster in the first place).

I just saw Nneka on ESPN on the red carpet show for the ESPY'S. She will be presenting the Capitol One award to Standford. She looks fantastic!

Why is there a tweet of Candace on stage at the ESPYs? im not watching at the moment, but I hope she didn't win WNBA player of the year for last season. That would show the numb skulls that vote based on looks rather than production. Hell, she wasn't even the best player on her own team just had a few good final games that was it. Nneka got them there. -end of rant

She presented an award. She was nominated for two.

Nneka Got them there and CP3 got them over the hill . I dont agree she was the best player last season overall but she was the most effective by far with her Pts.Assists & rebs

The waiving of Ibekwe is still puzzling. They haven't brought her back on a 10-day contract, nor have they brought in someone else. I keep thinking Dabovic will pop up. Yet Diarra remains on the roster and glued to their bench. Ibekwe at least saw some playing time here and there.

I think both players are awful but Diarra is much cheaper considering she's a rookie and Ibekwe is in her 3rd season

Nope. Both on the exact same 0-2 years of experience minimum.

Chelsea Gray: Off the Bench

The biggest issue, to be honest, was my weight. See, in college, nearly your entire day is planned out, from sunrise to sunset. You don’t have a lot of free time, even in the off-season. But in the pros, you have so much time to yourself. That was new to me. I had to find ways to fill that time and, unfortunately for me, I filled it with food.

Grudas best days are well behind her , i got sick and tired of watching her travel all across the court last season .

Pretty sad for someone who just turned 30

They cut Ibekwe for Gruda and yet keep Diarra? Seriously?

It's crazy because she continues to perform at an all-star level overseas, last time I checked. But we all know around here that W is another story.
