A player gets a point if they lead their team in scoring in a game that the team wins. Any player that has at least half as many as the league leader gets in the poll. The league leader has 8.5, while Jones currently has 2.

| I like how the NBA did their MVP..they gave it to the league leader who tore it up and didn't dabble in all this BS made up stats that didn't exist a decade ago. You go Russ! Tina da real 2016 MVP. (Okay I'm done with that)

| I wonder how the All-WNBA teams will be affected? Do they still go by position? 2 guards, 2 forwards & 1 center? Would really suck if J. Jones or Griner didn't get named to the first team or even the second team if they have to leave out a center? This year it could possibly be an all-post first team with Fowles, Griner, J. Jones, Charles & Ogwumike.

Both the voters and the league will call Fowles and Griner centers, and maybe Jones (who'd miss out). Everyone else gets fudged to forward. All-WNBA has always had a 'making this shit up as we go along' approach to it. |

What exactly has taurasi done THIS season to be on the 1st team again ? I guess breaking the all time record certifies that position ? Bump Edd up to 1st team & put DT on 2nd and i like your list so far

When she's been playing alongside Tuck and A.Thomas in a frontcourt all season, and she's 6-6, you'd really struggle to call Jones anything other than a center.

Delle Donne hasn't even played any 3 this season, never mind any guard. She'd be more legitimately fudged to center than guard. I agree that Taurasi's a reach to be on either team, but solving it by calling Delle Donne a guard would just be making shit up. |

Messeman , EDD & KT were on the floor for a game or 2 with EDD at the 3 early on . Epic failure btw

Nope. In three of the four games Meesseman's played in, minutes for Meesseman + EDD + KThomas + Hawkins + ATaylor = 80. Pretty strong suggestion that they're all sharing the minutes at the two post spots. In the one other game she played in the main four add up to 80, and Asia Taylor's 3:19 was on top (none of which was played with Delle Donne on the floor).
So I'm pretty confident it never happened. Even if it did, that'd mean she played a few minutes at the 3 - still not a guard position. |

I would swap Hayes for Clarendon. Clarendon's passing game has improved but her shooting is off this season.
