I agree. Everyone had Gray projected number 2. I wonder what they saw in Coates,or what trade fell through for her at #2

Someone's going to have to dig it up somewhere, but it's believed there was a draft day trade that was supposed to happen to send Coates somewhere, but the other team withdrew.

They were trying to trade Coates to SA for Plum and/or Coffey, from what I heard. Not sure what the details of the trade were but man is it reflecting poorly on them now.

So you're saying the Sky would've been better off if the ignorant, basement-dwelling, blogger population made their decisions, which would've been picking Gray and probably Davis or Wiese, instead of the paid basketball expert's choice of Coates and player to cut after 1 game? 😱

. . . because Brian is probably trying to get Riquna well integrated with the Sparks vets so she can be part of the normal rotation. Riquna is a streaky scorer, but so was Kristi.
I expect Sydney to get her chances as she has played well overall with her opportunities. She still seems to have a lot to learn, and Chelsea seems to act as her personal tutor on court. If Syd emerges as a clutch downtown threat, she will be worth her weight in gold.

Wow,what a shock.Another team on pace to score 90 points and shoot over 48% against the wings. This would be the 7th time in 8 games that dallas has allowed 90p/48% fg.

Right now, according to stats, the top 5 picks should have been:
#1. A. Gray
#2. K. Davis
#3. B. Sykes
#4. S. Wiese
#5. S. Chong
