The Wings need Paris back. Plaisance isn't a center. Can't play defense & can't rebound.

Now they are cutting away from the game to show a prerecorded interview. This is a fucking terrible telecast.

The announcer says that the Lynx team has six Olympians, including one from Great Britain. I only see five: Whalen, Augustus, Moore, Fowles, Fagbenle. Unless he is counting Reeve.

That and a couple of turnovers from Diggins isn't helping either.

It's hard to consistenty win basketball games when you are routinely giving up 90+ pts on 48% fg shooting.
Wings last 6 gms:
LA-90p/50%
wash-101p/48%
Indy-91p/48%
Liberty-93p/50%
Indy-62p/35%
Merc-107p/48%
Tonight:91 pts on 53% fg shooting
Until dallas improves their defense, they'll continue to get the same results.

Could ya imagine the sort of career Fowles could have had if she'd had this level of coaching from the beginning? Just seeing how much she has improved with using both hands on offense, her post positioning and footwork, and even her passing.

they have no true center so teams are taking advantage to me there playing well if the had Paris i think all the games they loss since the phx game with the exception of that game were winnable if they had a presence in the post two indy in ny i felt fred didn't make adjustments

agree. Her game has improved a lot since she got to Minny. Coaching DOES make a difference.

Double sword here. Pokey also coached Fowles in her first three seasons at LSU and she was a four time All American. To throw shade at Pokey for how things went down at Chitown would also be ludicrous since Fowles didn't stink in college...and the Sky DID make it the Finals in 2014. I think having selfless teammates also has something to do with it....she would've easily been the MVP in 2011 if the Sky were in contention for the Conference title.

Fowles also suffered a lot of injuries during her time with the Sky, so her development was held back. Also, for most of her Sky career she was not surrounded by talent. It was only later in the game when EDD arrived, Sloot improved and Quigley, Breland, Faulkner emerged that the Sky were very good. Pokey did do a good job of developing younger plyers, esp. Sloot and Faulkner. In contrast - Reeve threw away Sugar.

Being on a better team does help in the winning games category. And it is true that she has been a good player, perhaps even a potential MVP candidate over the years.
However, I am looking at her own skillset independent of teammates. She has objectively gained more skills since she arrived in Minnesota. The most dramatic being her usage of her left hand. That hand was non-existent in Chicago, now it is a huge part of her game. And there are many other areas of marked improvement in the execution of her game.

Was there a quote from Reeve or Fowles crediting head coach Reeve for any improvement in Fowles' individual skills?
