Truly, a Ray Harryhausen battle of behemoths.

I'm pulling for the Sun because I like to see the derided dog successfully chew the bone -- namely, Courtney Williams of the sainted Bulls.

I was thinking that we seem to be having multiple 'battle for the basement' games here early on.

That Adams can make a living as a professional athlete, in anything other than sumo wrestling, offers hope to couch potatoes the world over. It's unreal. She's visibly bigger than when she was cut the last time.

Centered my lineup around Jasmine Thomas, just to find out 5 mins before gametime on Twitter that she's away at her brother's wedding Shocked

Looks like I'm now going to have to follow every player on Twitter... Razz

Adams is what she is. Get over it. She's big. Who cares. She can still run circles around all of you body shamers here at Rebkell. Ignorant.

First WNBA game she has ever missed - and it is not due to an injury.

Yes, but how many circles? Wink

For me, at least, it's not meant as shaming so much as it's me being startled and somewhat amazed. (I'm also often amused by people's reactions to her. At the preseason event at Mohegan, where she was raining threes, the guy next to me kept saying, "She breaks the laws of physics!" in the stunned tone of a man with an exploded brain.)

We're watching a sport that requires a lot of mobility, athleticism and just general movement. When someone's the size of a house it seems worthy of comment. I don't care that she's huge. I only care in relation to how it affects the basketball game.

Both Jones and Adams fouling out was in part down to how Adams can't move. Jones was constantly trying to cover for her.

She's a professional athlete. Her body type is being discussed in the context of basketball which to me makes perfect sense.

Adams is a sloth. She clearly has the talent. But I can only imagine how much better she'd be if she were 50 pounds lighter.

Marissa Coleman's sell-by date may be upon us. 1-5 from the field, 0 assists, 4 turnovers, 0 rebounds in 14 minutes. That's an incredibly bad line for a starting player.

Tiffany Mitchell looked a lot better, but also had 0 rebounds and 0 assists. At least she made four shots (out of 10) in her 23 minutes.

Courtney Williams' 5-16, 2/6 A/TO hurt Connecticut, but the overall defense that led to 29 FTA from Indiana was really the killer.

Credit to Shenise Johnson for shaking off a bad shooting night and making the shot she had to make. Too many players miss a few and then don't want to shoot any more. If it's a good shot for you, take it. (In contrast, I'm not sure what's a good shot for Coleman any more.)

Adams fouled out in 11 minutes, which is pretty impressive too. It's pretty clear she'll be targeted as soon as she steps on the floor.

Coleman needs to find her way out of the starting line up yesterday.
