Tough one for me - my #1 (Mystics) and #2 teams (Sparks).

I dream they meet in the Finals. It will be a nightmare if they meet in the Finals. Everything will be wonderful and horrible at the same time. No matter who wins, I'll he happy and unhappy at the same time.

Ring ceremony for Sparks - had to vote for them.

It is a ring ceremony for Kristi too. With Candace, Jantel, and Essence returning late from abroad, they pushed the ring ceremony back an additional week. It was fortuitous that a game with the Mystics allowed departed Spark, Kristi, to take part in the ring ceremony too.

After Alana set the defensive tempo to start the season off right, everyone and their grandmother wants to know what she's got in store for an encore---in other words, what happens when Alana spars off against ex-teammate Kristi.

Both Candace and Nneka are extremely proud young Ladies, and I have to believe all this early talk of EDD being the favorite to be the 2017 MVP is going to really stoke their competitive fires. Jantel returns to add her specialty to the mix---semi-automatic midrange and longrange 'lay-ups', Jantel-style. I suppose Essence will be facing off against Emma as Brian prepares to play chess via Mike Thibault. Of course, everyone wants to see EDD & Co. defend Batwoman & Batwoman . . . and vice versa.

They should under no circumstance allow Kristi to take part in the ring ceremony. The should instead just roll her ring across to her side of the court. Very Happy

West coast convenience Michelle. This is going to be an excellent game. Mystics will have to improve their defense from their first game. Cannot wait to see this game. And, Elena will have to watch her fouls, cannot afford to get into foul trouble.

That will only serve to revert her back to her 'Lil Mopey disposition once more---just when I was getting ready to re-christian her "Ms. Smiley." Laughing

{After the ring ceremony . . . }

Alana: It's been good times, Kristi, but you're no longer a Spark. I'm going to have to turn my back on you now.

Kristi: Turn your back on me, Dukey, and I will sink 10 treys in a heartbeat.

Alana: You try to be nice to these damn Terrapins, and how do they respond? You know I'm gonna have to lock you down now!

Kristi: In your dreams, Sweetie! It's gonna be raining all night long from downtown!!!

Alana: I'll stuff that first trey attempt right down your damn throat!

LLL: Look Kristi, it's bad enough that you broke my single game scoring record. But you're not a Spark anymore so you're not allowed to spit on my damn court again!!!

Kristi: Watcha talkin' 'bout, Willis? I'm special! I'm entitled! I can spit where I damn well please!

LLL: Try it, Little Girl! It's one thing to have Alana stuff your trey attempts. If I even dream I see spittle anywhere on or in that smart trap of yours, you will experience your very first LLL slam block right across your lips!!!

{With apologies to the genuine sisterhood these Young Ladies all share with each other.}

Agreed!

Yeah, excited to see them get their rings tonight. Will likely be some time before they build that chemistry, but it will be nice to see the whole squad in uniform tonight.

Most looking forward to Beard guarding Toliver. They are both great at what they do and have to know a few of each other's tricks after playing together for so long. I hope that Williams can get something going today, and I also hope that Sims picks up where she left off in the last game.

Let's go Sparks!!!

I'm glad that I learned about Julius Randel's body fat percentage. Who would have guessed that would happen tonight? Rolling Eyes
