I made a half-court shot at the preseason game and won tickets! Excited to be there for the opener, hoping to see Stewie and Bird play (said they were day-to-day in the game yesterday)

Sounds like Stewie will play.

Was this game entertaining or was it a quagmire like much of what I saw today?

I thought it was ok. Fairly free-flowing. Being a close contest always helps. It was better than the Mercury mess.
Seattle turned the ball over 23 times yesterday, and again 20 times tonight, so they still have work to do. (Sue returning will obviously help)

Loyd and Stewart showed magic today.
The most amazing stat to me is that KML drew six FTA's in 15 minutes. In earlier years, she was so unaggressive in traffic that she'd go games with no FTA's. She was also 3-4 on field goals, and all were two's! |

Storm definitely have the potential to be a top 4 team in the league this season.

Tiffany Mitchell had a good game, and made two out of four three-pointers. If she keeps that up, she's going to replace Marissa Coleman sooner rather than later.
Dupree/Larkins/Coleman: 90 minutes, 5-24 from the field, 13 RB. Bright side is Indiana only lost by five given that dismal production from the veteran core; dark side is that may be what they have left to offer.
Seattle got the win but Noelle Quinn and Ramu Tokashiki reverted to form. With Bird, looks like a playoff team; without her, hard to say.

Shenise Johnson appears to be one of those unusual players who figures it out after a couple years. She wasn't bad but wasn't particularly good her first three years -- which was a disappointment considering she was the fifth overall pick -- but now has elevated her game into being an above-average player.
She's still not a great defender, but her offensive game has come around and this year's aging Indiana roster will give her every opportunity to shine.
