The winning DNA of the Fad Five (actually the NC3) helps the Wings consistently outplay the Merc after being down early 16-5.

The Wings need point guards who can score. Where's Odyssey Sims when you need her?

Leilani Mitchell looked like the best offensive guard out there when Danielle Robinson didn't.

Ya mean the player who implied that Dallas has an unprofessional organization? Laughing

It's criminal for someone her height. "Reaching" for the ball is not good enough... She absolutely doesn't know how to use her lower body to position herself.

When Powers comes back, they could do Christmas for Coates.

With Young and Copper there already, I don't see an awful lot of point to Christmas for Chicago.

I know a team that could find a use for Powers by the way. Twisted Evil Regarding Davis, while it's only one game, from what I saw of her at South Carolina I thought highly of her presence and understanding of the game if that makes any sense. It's also worth it to point out she was on a team with enormous post presence in college, thus on a team where you didn't have the ideal spacing to drive. Dallas' offensive system is pretty tailored to getting penetrators into the paint. Once teams scout Davis and get the help defense to her earlier, I am sure she will have to do some adjusting. But she's an explosive, physically strong player. I was impressed with her D today too.

Taurasi looked awful today by the way. Awful. Her desire was so hit or miss last year. Looks like more of the same this year. She was absolutely atrocious in every aspect of basketball today. Offense, defense, playmaking, intangibles. All atrocious.

Nice games by Davis, Gray and BG. Watching the game on Twitter was good but it wasn't the kinda to get new fans.

her head just isn't in the game anymore. Wasn't most of last season. Such a shame. I wonder if she's thinking of retiring soon?

But it is when she's in Russia? The very last game she played, all of two weeks ago, she lit Kursk up for 33 to carry UMMC to the Russian title in a deciding game.

She just can't do it as easily or as often any more.

Or maybe at her age, she just can't do it year round anymore..particularly when the league that pays the least is the most physical. Sue had to make a decision a few years from now, and IMO, Diana's going to have to make one as well. Does she want to make more money or does she want to play at home?

Agree though, one of the worst I've seen from her.

Sandy is terrible too. Seriously, what happened to Lyttle. (her and Robinson were positives...)

The team has potential, but Griner is going to have to play like an MVP this season, Sandy is going to have to play the right players (at the right time) and Diana is going to need to get her head out of her ass.

I thought picture quality was great. They should have had a scoreboard from the start and not used the usual announcers, but I guess that wasn't going to happen.

. . . or maybe she is just getting older and finding it harder than ever to get her body to do what her mind tells it to do.

Or maybe it's just a tough ask to play your best the day after your wedding.

Quote:
The date for the wedding was set a year ago.
"I was actually disappointed we had a game the next day at 3," said Taurasi, who was 1-of-11 shooting. "If anything they could have set it up at least 24 hours (later) or a 7 o'clock game. That wasn't ideal

I said it during the draft this year-I said it again when the Lynx waived her and I am saying it again. Phoenix needs to sign Chantell Osahor. She can rebound AND put in 3's. The rebounding for the Merc was terrible tonight and they need someone to fill that spot.asap. BG does not seem overly interested ingetting rebounds. If Osahor does nothing else she can rebound. I can't imagine her sitting at home doing nothing when there is a team who needs a rebounder like yesterday. Wake up Phonix and call her.
