Washington is going to be good. Of course against SAS, well, that won't be their biggest test. And what they do minus Meesman will also be interesting

Mystics seem to be playing well early on.

They would have a much bigger lead if they were converting their fast break opportunities. Of course, they haven't had that much time together yet.
Kristi has really made great strides as a WNBA PG.

Every Mystic is doing what they're supposed to do.
Cloud is where she will thrive - as a backcourt backup.
Krystal Thomas coming in to provide post D and occasional putback.
Tiana Hawkins is looking to have a strong year.
KTO & EDD doing what they do - now for the Mystics!

Mees is playing and shooting well.
SAS is getting killed on the boards, but keeping relatively close with the shooting and rebounding of Mo Currie, who looks in this game like the Black Maravich. I didn't hear why Harrison isn't playing.
EDD not handling the ball at all in this offense. I would think she could be a very effective high-low passer from the high post. Otherwise, the Mystics offense looks pretty good. |

I'm already seeing the Stars with Wilson next season and some how trading for Coates (Coffey & Hamby for Coates?). Stars starters would be Jefferson-Plum-McBride-Wilson-Coates.

it will be a different team once those first three named are actually on the court.

Yeah. This group on the floor is pretty scrappy. Add what is considerable offensive talent to this group and I think the Stars are going to be a pretty competitive bunch this year. Losing record for sure but at full strength I can think of a few teams I think are worse than them.

DC has yielded about 50% shooting in this game. Currie is pretty much on fire but whatever defensive questions there are about the Mystics, that's definitely a major early-season subplot.

The Mystics gotta get used to playing together, but they have the makings of a definite contender already.

Is still see them ending up with the #1 pick.

The KT/EDD combo is deadly. Some of the play design had EDD moving subtly into open spaces to catch and shoot. You have to guard them so far out, it's next to impossible to defend everyone.

SAS loses by 15, but if Plum, Jefferson and McBride had been there to score 50 . . . . |

Yeah its too early after 1 win to a Stars team with no Stars to be all crazy about the Mystics. What i do know is that they need to fix their defense because else EDD will be too exposed and get into foul trouble too much

The outcome would've been the same with the Mystics winning and Mo Currie scoring less points.
