awee no CP3 , ugh Embarassed . This is going to be pretty much a preseason game also , but teams know they need ot get out the gates fast to be in position for the playoffs. Hopefully CP comes back sooner meaning LOSE! Sweep or something lol

No Parker and Lavender for the Sparks but the more important question will Bird play for the Storm? If not then i see the Sparks taking this

Yes. I forgot about Birdy. Without her Storm looked poor on offence. Although this small lady Whitcomb surprised me a lot during two preseason games.

Last season the amount of turnovers hurt us in multiple games. So if Bird doesnt run the offense in the first couple of games of the season then i expect a lot of turnovers. A lot of turnovers means less shots on offense and we need a lot of scoring against a team like the Sparks

No Parker or JLav? Ugh. Will they at least be in attendance to receive their championship rings? At least we'll have Nneka. Right? Lol. With no Parker or Lavender I expect a lot of shots from Sims and Williams. May or may not be a good thing. Lol.

Stewart might be short handed aswell saturday.
Quote:
She shared the floor with star forward Breanna Stewart (knee), reserve forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (playing in France) and backup guard Noelle Quinn (bruised thigh) – each absent from training camp.

Quote:
The Storm remains noncommittal if Bird, Stewart or Quinn will be available for Saturday’s regular-season opener at defending WNBA champion Los Angeles or Sunday’s home opener against Indiana at KeyArena.

It's going to be interesting to see if the Storm take that next step this season.

I really wanna see Chelsea step up her game. It will be interesting to see how well Odyssey and especially Riquna integrate with the veteran Sparks.

Sims comes off the bench in her first game as a Spark.

Jewell looking really good early on.

It would be nice if Seattle would stop throwing the ball right to LA.

This small line-up doesn't seem to be working for LA. Sparks with Sims, Williams, Wiese, Ibekwe & Jackson-Jones.

I DO believe Odyssey is fitting in very well in LA, thank you!

We are missing Jantel and her semi automatic mid-range 'lay-ups.' Nneka is missing her high-low partner something fierce. Alana seems to be planning to play out her final season on fire defensively.

Odyssey looking GREAT - and this is coming from a Chelsea Gray fan. Having them battling for playing time is great for the Sparks. I want the player helping the team the most on the floor and it could be both of them at times, with Alana moving to SF. Alana is on the short side for SF, but those long arms make a big difference. She could very well have the most blocks for her height in the WNBA.

In case anybody's wondering, LA is my hometown but I was never a fan of My Little Pony. Been gaining interest since LLL retirement and now I'm all in since they acquired Chelsea Gray. Also could not be prouder of how Alana came back from injury that could have ended her career to show her game to help win the 'ship.

She is killing Seattle with her pressure. Just like she did last year. That's good news for the Sparks.

I'm missing Kristi's patented scowls on the court. Laughing

Seriously, was Odyssey Sims the greatest college defender since Lew Alcindor? It's amazing how much people go on about her glorious defense, after three full years being a sucky defender in the WNBA. Lobo's the latest in this game, but hardly the only one.
